Canon EOS R3 Price, Specs, Release Date

Canon has released all of the details about the highly anticipated EOS R3 camera including price, specs and release date. The company officially announced the new Canon EOS R3, a high-speed mirrorless camera, aimed at professional sports photographers, with weather-sealing, a new Canon BSI CMOS sensor and Eye-AF control.

The US price is $5,999 and it will be released on November 30, 2021.

Canon EOS R3 Rumored to be Announced on September 14

Canon XF605 UHD 4K HDR Pro Camcorder Officially Announced

Canon has unveiled the new Canon XF605 4K UHD professional camcorder.The Canon XF605 offers 4K 4:2:2 10-bit image acquisition combined with a 15x optical zoom lens, complete with IS.

Canon EOS R5 Firmware Update Version 1.4.0 Now Available

Canon EOS R6 Firmware Version 1.4.0 Now Available for Download

Canon released the firmware update version 1.4.0 for the Canon EOS R6 mirrorless camera.

Firmware Version 1.4.0 incorporates the following enhancements and fixes:

  1. Adds [Canon Log 3] to [Canon Log settings].
  2. Simultaneous movie recording on card 1 and card 2 has been added.
  3. Improves operation stability when using the RF400mm F2.8 L IS USM and RF600mm F4 L IS USM.
  4. Fixes an issue in which, during HDMI connection, if the camera’s screen turns off, a zebra pattern is displayed via the HDMI output.
  5. Fixes an issue in which sufficient image stabilization effects may not be attained immediately after the start of shooting.

Firmware Version 1.4.0 is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.3.1. If the camera’s firmware is already Version 1.4.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

Canon EOS R3 Announcement Scheduled for September 2021

According to previous reports, the e Canon EOS R3 announcement was expected on June 29. But unfortunately it didn’t happen. It has now been confirmed by reliable sources that the Canon EOS R3 full-frame mirrorless camera will be officially announced in September 2021.

Rumors : Canon EOS R5C Coming in Q1 of 2022

As you may remember, we started talking about the EOS R5c mirrorless camera that Canon has been working last year. Now we have several confirmations that the development of Canon EOS R5C cinema camera is on the way.

The rumor mill claims that the Canon EOS R5C camera could be announced around NAB in October this year, but apparently it has been postponed to the first quarter of 2022. We think that Canon wants to release it within 60 days after its announcement.

The Canon EOS R5C camera is expected to have the same image sensor as the Canon EOS R5 and will have all of the same recording options (8K30 Raw and 4K120 10-Bit Internal Video). In addition, the Canon EOS R5C will be equipped with a powerful cooling system, a slightly different form factor, and more codecs for video recording as well as a full-size HDMI port, and it is expected to be a very attractive camera especially for those who mainly use videos for long turns. Canon Patents for RF 24mm f/1.2, RF 28mm f/1.2 and RF 35mm f/1.2 Lenses

Here are several new Canon patents application that shows optical formulas for three fast prime lenses. These Canon lenses are the RF 35mm f/1.2L, 35mm f/1.4L, 28mm f/1.2L and 24mm f/1.2L.

Canon EOS R6 Won #1 Place : Best Selling Camera in May 2021

One of the nation’s leading specialist photographic retailers, MapCamera published its list of the top ten best-selling new cameras, with the Canon EOS R6 taking pride of place atop the chart. Canon EOS R6 tops the list for being the most sold camera in May, leading retailer in Japan.

The Canon EOS R6 won the No.1 best seller while the Canon EOS R5 is ranked third this time. The Fujifilm X-S10, which has been selling well since its launch in November last year, came in second. And the RICOH GR III won the fourth place.
