Nikon Z7 Achieves an Overall DxOMark Sensor Score of 99 Points

In addition to the Nikon Z6 sensor review, DxOMark also published the Nikon Z7 sensor review and test results.

According to this, the 45.7MP full-frame BSI CMOS sensor on the Z7 achieved an impressive score of 99 (just 1 point behind the Nikon D850 and Sony a7R III), with a combination of 26.3 bits color depth, 14.6 EV dynamic range, and 2668 ISO low-light score.

Sony a9 Firmware Update Version 5.0 Coming on March 25th

Sony major firmware update for the Alpha A9 will arrive on March 25th.  This will be the Sony a9 Firmware Update Version 5.0.

This upgrade will add a range of features, including improved tracking in both stills and video, as well as extending Eye AF to animals, something Sony showed at Photokina back in September. The a7R III and a7 III will also gain the improved Eye-AF and animal Eye AF, as well as time-lapse capabilities.

Nikon DX Mirrorless Camera Coming in 2019 ?

Breaking : According to latest rumors looks like a new Nikon DX mirrorless camera is in the works. Possible announcement for Nikon DX Mirrorless camera might happen before June 2019.

Nikon already has a very aggressive strategy for its full frame mirrorless lineup. Both Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7 sales are good and they are pushing the system with new Z-mount lenses.

Sony a7S III Rumored to Feature Global Shutter Sensor with 4K@60P

More details about the Sony A7S III camera have been leaked. According to recent reports the Japan-based company is rumored to launch Sony A7s III with global shutter sensor and 4K video recording at 60p.

Reports also indicates that the low-light full frame mirrorless from Sony will not be on display at the NAB 2019 event.  The earliest announcement for Sony A7S III seems to be the end of 2019.

Nikon D6 and Canon EOS-1D X Mark III Coming Before 2020 Summer Olympics

Nikon and Canon are both rumored to release their high-end cameras before the 2020 Summer Olympic Games. The products are as expected the Nikon D6 and Canon EOS 1D Mark III.

We are likely to see Canon’s 1D X Mark III and Nikon D6 to be announced in Q4 of 2019 to Q2 of 2020. Just ahead of 2020 Summer Olympic games in Tokyo, Japan.
