Panasonic Leica 10-25mm f/1.7 ASPH MFT Lens Becomes Official

Along with the Panasonic S1H 6K full frame mirrorless camera, the long wait is finally over for the Panasonic Leica 10-25mm f/1.7 ASPH MFT lens.

Designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras, the lens covers focal length in full-frame terms is equivalent to 20-50mm on a Micro Four Thirds body, as a single lens that replaces five commonly used equivalent focal lengths: 20, 24, 28, 35 and 50mm.

Images of Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Summilux 10-25mm f/1.7 ASPH MFT lens and Panasonic 1.4x/2.0x teleconverters for L-mount

First images of the Panasonic 10-25mm f/1.7 lens and Panasonic 1.4x/2.0x teleconverters for L-mount have been leaked online.

Designed for Micro Four Thirds cameras, this lens should deliver superb image quality like the Nocticron 42.5mm f/1.2 or the 25mm f/1.4 MFT lens.

With a constant aperture of F1.7 throughout its 10-25mm  focal range (20-50mm in 35mm terms), it is a big and heavy lens by Micro Four Thirds standards and the price would be expensive around $2,500.
