Panasonic S1 II / S1 IIx Rumored Specifications

A new set of rumored Panasonic S1 II/ S1 IIx specifications have been leaked online. According to the specs sheet, both Panasonic full frame camera feature 6K 120 and 4k/120 video recording, a new Venus image processing engine, Dual I.S. image stabilisation, a double slot for XQD memory cards and SD memory cards, and a triaxial tilt LCD screen.

Panasonic Firmware Updates for Lumix S1, S1H, S1R, S5 and BGH1

Panasonic has announced major firmware updates for its LUMIX S Series full-frame mirrorless cameras DC-S1H (Ver.2.4), DC-S1 (Ver.2.0), DC-S1R (Ver.1.8), DC-S5 (Ver.2.2) and its Micro Four Thirds box-style mirrorless camera DC-BGH1 (Ver.2.0) to further enhance functions, performance and usability.

Panasonic Released Firmware Update V1.5 for Lumix S1, S1R Cameras

Panasonic releases minor firmware update for its Lumix S1S1R full frame mirrorless cameras. Firmware update version 1.5  adds new frame rate options for its NTSC region models.

Firmware version 1.5 adds support for ProGrade Digital CFexpress Type B cards as well as a new 50p/25p video frame rate option for NTSC region cameras. Panasonic has also disabled the ‘Delete All’ touch control option in playback mode to minimize the possibility of accidentally deleting all of your media.

Firmware version 1.5 for the S1 and S1R is available to download on Panasonic’s support page.

Panasonic Releases New Firmware Update for LUMIX S1R, S1, GH5, GH5S & G9

Panasonic has announced a series of new firmware updates for S1, S1R full frame, GH5, GH5s and the G9 MFT cameras.

With this major upgrade Panasonic G9 advances a 10-bit 4:2:2 video capture for 4K at up to 30p and HDMI output of 10-bit 50 and 60p footage. Meanwhile, the GH5S and G9 also gain animal detect autofocus, while both those cameras and the GH5 gain AF-On Near Shift and AF-ON Far Shift options to prioritize near or distant subjects.

Panasonic Announces Firmware Update Programs for the LUMIX S1R, S1, GH5, GH5S, G9, G90/G91/G95, G80/G81/G85 and GX9

Panasonic has announced that the company will release the firmware update programs for the LUMIX Digital Single Lens Mirrorless cameras to enhance the functions and usability.

All programs will be available at LUMIX Global Customer Support website at UTC 1:00 on July 9, 2019.

Panasonic 1.4x & 2x L-mount Teleconverters Announced

In addition to Panasonic S1H 6K mirrorless camera, Panasonic also announced a 1.4x Teleconverter DMW-STC14 and a 2x Teleconverter DMW-STC20 for the LUMIX S Series telephoto zoom lenses.

Panasonic to Release the Upgrade Firmware Key DMW-SFU2 for LUMIX S1 in July 2019

Panasonic officially announced that they will release an Upgrade Firmware Key DMW-SFU2 for the Panasonic LUMIX S1 ($2,497.99 at AmazonB&HAdorama) full-frame mirrorless camera in July 2019 to expand the video performance.

The Upgrade Software Key DMW-SFU2 will go on sale in July 2019 at a cost of $199 in the US, €199 in Europe and £179 in the UK. Panasonic US says the update will be made available free to any existing S1 owners that have registered their camera, and for anyone who buys an S1 before July 31st.
