First Tests of Sigma 35mm and 65mm f/2.0 FE Lenses

Here are the first tests of the Sigma 35mm and 65mm f/2.0 FE lenses. Marc Alhadeff from SonyAlpha.Blog tested both Sigma lenses. You can find the highlights to those tests below.

These Sigma 35mm and 62mm lenses are from the latest Sigma announcement. As you might remember three new full-frame mirrorless L-series premium compact prime lenses for Sony E-mount and L-mount bodies have been introduced. These Sigma lenses are 24mm f/3.535mm f/265mm f/2 DG DN Contemporary and will be available for sale through authorized US retailers in mid-January, 2021.

Sigma Rumored to Produce Lenses for Fuji X Mount in 2021

Sigma is rumored to start producing lenses for Fuji X-mount cameras. As a result expect Sigma Lenses for Fujifilm in 2021.

About one year ago Sigma said they wanted to develop for Fujifilm, but their resources were limited at that moment. Now looks like its time and they could start developing lenses for Fujifilm. It’s probably the result of so many asking Sigma to release lenses for X-Mount since Fujifilm has the most professional APS-C system at this time.

SIGMA Rumored to Produce Nikon Z and Canon RF Mount Lenses in 2021

According to recent reports, Sigma is going to produce lenses for both Nikon Z and Canon RF mounts in 2021. So far, Sigma’s mirrorless lenses have only been available in L mount for Panasonic, Leica and their own cameras and Sony E mount.

Back in February, the company had plans for RF mount but still couldn’t decide if they were planning to make lenses for Nikon Z and Canon RF mounts or not. Now latest rumors suggests that the lens manufacturer is working on Nikon Z and Canon RF mount lenses and we may see some official announcements from Sigma in 2021. Continue reading…

Sigma 24mm f/3.5, 35mm f/2, 65mm f/2 DG DN Contemporary Lenses for E-mount and L-mount

Sigma announced three new full-frame mirrorless L-series premium compact prime lenses for Sony E-mount and L-mount bodies. These Sigma lenses are 24mm f/3.5, 35mm f/2, 65mm f/2 DG DN Contemporary and will be available for sale through authorized US retailers in mid-January, 2021.

All three lenses have aperture rings and by-wire manual focus dials, and are driven by stepping motors. They all come with both metal lens caps that attach magnetically and with conventional plastic pinch-type lens caps. Sigma will offer a magnetic lens cap holder that’s attached to a carabiner.   • Corrected the bug*1 related to Compressed RAW over HDMI recording with Atomos NINJA V monitor-recorder.
  • Corrected the bug related to the electronic image stabilization system in CINE mode*2

*1 ISO metadata reported in Final Cut Pro X may occasionally be incorrect if using 1/3 EV ISO adjustments on the camera. Note: Requires the firmware of NINJA V to be Ver.10.53 or later.*2 Video footage appears distorted in the following conditions.
