We have the Sony A7R V announcement date rumored as October 26th. Before the official announceent, two rumor sites have shared the first specifications of the upcoming Sony a7R V mirrorless camera.

The main conflict is on the sensor resolution. Sony A7R V might feature 61MP or 63MP sensor. However both sites mentions that the main improvement in image quality will be achieved by a faster processor. So the sensor of the A7rV will have mostly the SAME resolution as the previous A7r IV. More Updates on Canon EOS R6 Mark II Specifications

Here are some more leaked information for the Canon EOS R6 Mark II specifications. The 2nd version of EOS R6 camera is expected to be announced soon.

More items have been added to the list of credible specs for the EOS R6 Mark II. Of these, “digital teleconverter” and “hybrid audio” are functions that are not used in the current model, and seem to be the first functions to be introduced in the R6 Mark II.

Rumors: Canon EOS R8 is the Replacement of EOS R

According to latest rumors by Chinese weibo, a new Canon EOS R8 now will be the replacement of Canon EOS R. Although there are rumors about the Canon R8 that it may be an EOS R (save $200) replacement, the general consensus is that the R8 will be a new full-frame mirrorless camera that will sit below the EOS R6.

Canon EOS C70 Firmware Version 1.0.4.1 Now Available

The new firmware version 1.0.4.1 for the Canon EOS C70 RF Mount cinema camera is now available for download at Canon USA official site.

The EOS C70 is a new generation RF Mount Cinema EOS System camera featuring Canon’s 4K Super 35mm DGO sensor. With 4K 120P Slow Motion, High Dynamic Range and Dual Pixel CMOS AF in a compact body, it takes the RF System into a brand-new era.

Firmware Version 1.0.4.1 incorporates the following fix:

1. Fixes an issue, in which, in rare instances, the camera cannot be normally operated when operating the REC button with the camera set to the [Continuous Recording] function.

Caution:
– Firmware version 1.0.4.1 is for updating EOS C70 cameras running firmware version 1.0.0.1 – 1.0.3.1. If your camera’s firmware is already version 1.0.4.1, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Once the camera is updated to the latest version, it cannot be restored to a previous version.
– Please refrain from loading menu settings generated using the most recent firmware version to a product running an old firmware version, as doing so may affect camera operations.

Canon EOS R100 to be Announced Next

Good news is that Canon is planning to announce another new APS-C format RF mount mirrorless camera. The product in question is the Canon EOS R100. According to recent reports Canon EOS R100 to be announced in next several weeks, probably in later this year.

The entry-level RF mount will be the third model in the APS-C mirrorless camera lineup after the EOS R7 and EOS R10.  It is said that the Canon EOS R100 seems to inherit the form factor of past “EOS M” cameras such as “EOS M6 Mark II“. Sony FX30 Cinema APS-c Camera with 26MP and 16-bit RAW recording

Sony has announced the FX30, a compact digital cinema camera that shares the same body design as the older FX3, but upgrades from full-frame to an all-new back-illuminated 26MP APS-C sensor that captures Super35 4K video.

The new Sony FX30 sits below the FX3 in Sony’s E-mount cinema camera lineup and is designed to bridge the gap between what budding creators want and what’s being released for the professional market.

Compared to the Sony FX3 (approx. $3,898 on Adorama | B&H | Amazon), which features a 4K direct-sampling full-frame sensor with ISO 409,600, the Sony FX30 instead uses a Super35 sensor with 6K sampling and ISO 32,000. 6K resolution.
