Canon EOS R Firmware 1.3.0 & EOS RP Firmware 1.2.0 Released

Canon released new firmware updates for Canon EOS R and Canon EOS RP full frame mirrorless cameras.  The main change is the support for the RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 IS USM lens.

The lens weighs 26.4oz / 750g and balances much better on the EOS RP. At wide angle it offers a minimum focus distance of 0.50m / 1.64ft and 0.78m / 2.56ft at telephoto. Unfortunately for outdoorsy photographers, it lacks weather-sealing. Continue reading “Canon EOS R Firmware 1.3.0 & EOS RP Firmware 1.2.0 Released”
