Nikon NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 Lens to be Announced Soon

The new Nikon NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 lens has been added to overseas retailers and it will be announced very soon. Official announcement expected in the next several days.

As you know Nikon announced the development of the NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 and NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2,  compact and lightweight FX-format lenses on June 2, 2021.

The NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 is being developed as a wide-angle prime lens perfect for everyday snapshots, and the NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 as a standard prime lens that will allow users to easily enjoy bokeh as part of their imaging expression. These two compact and lightweight prime lenses are designed for ease of use by a broad range of users, including those new to mirrorless cameras, and will be ideal for a wide variety of everyday scenes and situations.

Nikon Postpones the Release of Nikon Z fc with 28mm f/2.8 Lens Kit

Nikon Japan issued a notice that they decided to postpone the release date of the Nikon Z fc with 28mm f/2.8 lens kit, while they will start shipping the Nikon Z fc body and the Nikon Z fc with 16-50mm lens kit on July 23, 2021.

Nikon Z fc and Nikon Z fc with 28mm f/2.8 Special Edition Kit Will Be in Short Supply

Nikon Japan issued a statement that the new Nikon Z fc camera body and the Nikon Z fc with 28mm f/2.8 special edition kit will be in short supply.

The Nikon Z fc mirrorless camera was officially announced on June 29, 2021 and scheduled for release on July 31, 2021. The retro-styled camera is now available for pre-order at all the major US stores.

Nikon Launches the Retro-styled Z fc 20.9MP APS-c Mirrorless Camera

Nikon has announced the new Nikon ZFc, a retro styled APS-C mirrorless camera with the Nikon Z-Mount. The new Nikon Z fc comes with “iconic” classic styling, giving external control for shutter speed, ISO, and exposure compensation. Nikon Z fc has a 20mp APS-C sensor, and a vari-angle touch-screen which can be tilted forwards, making it suitable for vlogging and selfies. The Z fc will also record 4K UHD video, has an electronic viewfinder, and features human and animal eye and face detection AF.

The price of the Nikon APS-c Mirrorless Camera is $956.95 for body-only. The Z fc will be available from late July 2021. See pre-order links below.

Six alternative color versions of the Z fc will also be available in limited quantities, costing $1200 with the 16-50mm zoom. In the US these will be exclusively available direct from Nikon’s website.

Nikon is developing NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 and NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 Lenses

Nikon Nikkor Z MC 105mm F2.8 VR S and Nikkor Z MC 50mm F2.8 Macro Lenses

Nikon officially announced two new Nikkor Z MC mirrorless macro lenses: the Nikkor Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S and the Nikkor Z MC 50mm f/2.8. These new macro lenses are the first native Z mount Nikon lenses to provide users with a 1:1 reproduction ratio.

The NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S and NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 will be available in late June 2021 for suggested retail prices (SRP) of $999.95 and $649.95, respectively.

New Nikon Product Announcement Scheduled to Happen Around June 2

It is said that Nikon will be announcing a new product next week, possibly 2-3 June 2021.

According to the information we have previously reported, Nikon is planning to announce the entry-level Nikon Z30 APS-C format mirrorless camera in the lower segment of the Nikon Z50. This Nikon Z30 camera will most likely NOT have an electronic viewfinder. If the APS-C mirrorless camera comes true, we should see some new DX mirrorless lenses with it.

According to the latest Nikon Z-mount lens roadmap, Nikon is fully committed to the future of the Z system, with a total of 27 great lenses and 2 teleconverters to be available at the end of 2022. This time we expect at least one mirrorless camera and four Z-mount mirrorless lenses.

Nikon APS-C Mirrorless Camera, Four Nikkor Z Lenses Coming Soon

There are chances that Nikon will introduce four new Nikkor Z lenses as well as Nikon Z-mount APS-c mirrorless camera in the next few weeks period. We expect the Nikon Z30 camera to appear with four new lenses in this major announcement.

Nikon is rumored to announce four new Z-mount lenses in the next few weeks, including the new Nikkor Z macro lenses and the new Nikkor Z pancake lenses. The details of the lenses are unknown, but since it includes macro and pancakes, at least two of the 28mm, 40mm, 50mm micros, and 105mm micros listed on the Z lens roadmap will appear.
