Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR Lens Will be Released on July 3, 2020

According to recent press text from Nikon, the new NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR all-in-one zoom lens will be released on July 3, 2020. Just like the NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S lens ($2,596.95 – at B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon), the shipment of this lens have been delayed previously.

The NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR is an 8.3x high-power telephoto zoom lens that covers the wide-angle 24mm to telephoto 200mm range of focal lengths, and packs outstanding resolution into a compact and lightweight package weighing approximately 570g. Tamron to Produce Mirrorless Lenses for Nikon Z-mount

Tamron is rumored to be working on new mirrorless lenses for Nikon Z mount.  There were some information that Tamron is continuing to evaluate and research the future potential of Nikon Z mount lens development.

Now recent rumors indicates that the company is planning to release its entire line of full-frame mirrorless lenses for Nikon Z mount. The COVID-19 has significantly impacted their release schedule.

If the rumor is true,  it is very good news for Nikon Z mount mirrorless camera users. Since the Z mount version of all the series is planned, lenses such as Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 and 28-200mm F2.8-5.6 will be announced for Nikon’s Z mount.
