Best Memory Cards for Sony a6100

Looking for the best SD memory cards for Sony a6100 ? Here are our top recommended and fastest SD memory cards for Sony a6100 mirrorless camera.

The Sony a6100 is a brand new entry-level APS-C format mirrorless camera from Sony and it one of the best choices for beginner photographers and videographers. Featuring a 24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS Sensor, the latest BIONZ X image processor, and a front-end LSI implemented in Sony’s full-frame cameras, the Sony a6100 (AmazonB&HAdorama) delivers outstanding image quality with rich detail and true-to-life color reproduction, and it is capable of UHD 4K video recording up to 30 fps along with quick continuous shooting up to 11 fps for working with moving subjects.

Just like the Sony a6600, the Sony a6100 has only one SD card slot that supports UHS-I SD cards (limited to UHS-I speeds). That means you don’t need to pay extra money on the fast UHS-II cards since you can’t get the extra write speed from the UHS-II cards, unless you really need fast read speeds (which enables you to transfer files to your computer quicker). So for the Sony a6100 users, we highly recommend getting a fast and reliable UHS-I SD card like the SanDisk Extreme PRO UHS-I SDXC Card 170 MB/s (V30, U3). Below are our top recommended and best UHS-I cards SD cards for your Sony a6100 camera, as well as a couple of UHS-II card options, if you don’t mind paying a little extra, or have some other cameras that support the UHS-II cards.
