Tamron has announced the new 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD lens for Sony APS-C E-mount mirrorless cameras. Tamron’s new standard zoom for APS-C cameras is compatible with Sony’s Eye AF, Fast Hybrid AF and in-camera lens correction.
The Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD boasts a fast maximum aperture across its focal range and is also equipped with Vibration Compensation, making it promising for low-light shooters. According to Tamron, the VC mechanism on the lens also uses AI technology when shooting video. The VC system also uses a Dual Micro Processing Unit with a built-in Digital Signal Processor. The Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD is comprised of 16 elements in 12 groups, of which there are two Glass Moulded Aspherical elements and one hybrid aspherical lens.

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm f/4.5 TC1.25X IS PRO Lens officially announced. It is a super-telephoto zoom lens characterized by its expansive range, built-in teleconverter, and relatively sleek design for handheld use, offering a 300-800mm equivalent focal length range, which can be extended even further using the integrated 1.25x teleconverter for 1000mm equivalent focal length.
Designed for Micro Four Thirds system cameras the lens will provide a standard focal range of 300-800mm equiv. and with a built-in 1.25X teleconverter it becomes 375-1000mm equiv., at the cost of 2/3-stop of light. The lens will also be compatible with Olympus’ new MC-20 2X teleconverter.
Already in development, the new super telephoto zoom lens Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400mm f/4.5 TC 1.25x IS PRO will be released on January 2021.
