Sirui 24mm f/2.8 1.33x Anamorphic APS-C Lens Announced

Sirui announced a new 24mm f/2.8 1.33x anamorphic APS-C lens.

The Sirui 24mm F2.8 features a 1.33x squeeze factor and an imaging circle that covers APS-C. In common with the previous lenses this model will come in a native Micro Four Thirds mount, but with adapters for Sony E, Canon EF-M, Nikon Z and Fujifilm X cameras.

The new lens is constructed of 13 elements arranged in 10 groups, and an 8-bladed iris. The maximum aperture at F2.8 is 1 1/3rd stops smaller than the 50mm and 35mm F1.8 lenses, and at between 125mm and 128mm it is slightly longer than the previous models too. Its closest focusing distance of 0.6m (2ft) is a little better than the 0.85m of the other lenses, and it accepts a 77mm filter instead of the 67mm of the 50mm/35mm lenses. Vazen launches the 65mm T2 1.8x Anamorphic Lens for Micro Four Thirds

Vazen, a new Chinese cinema lens brand, has announced the pricing and shipping availability of the Vazen 65mm T2 1.8x Anamorphic Lens for Micro Four Thirds (M43) cameras. In addition to the previously launched 28mm and 40mm, the whole Micro Four Thirds 1.8x Anamorphic lens set is now completed.

New Firmware Updates Released for Panasonic G9 & G100

Panasonic released new firmware updated for Panasonic G9 & G100 cameras. With this firmware the company updated to version 2.3 for Panasonic G9 (Amazon, B&H, Adorama) and firmware version 1.1 for Panasonic G100 (Amazon, B&H, Adorama).

Improvement for the Panasonic G9:

  1. Fixed the problem of overexposure when burst shooting with the settings of SH1, SH2, SH1 PRE, SH2 PRE.
  2. Improved LVF image quality when waiting for shooting in creative video mode.

Improvement for the Panasonic G100:

  1. LUMIX Webcam Software(Beta) Compatibility
    – LUMIX Webcam Software (Beta) can be used.
  2. Improved Image Stabilization
    – There were cases the angle of view changed according to the movement of the subject when using a lens that does not support image stabilization and [E-Stabilization(Video)] is set to ON. This bug has been fixed.
  3. Other added functions
    – [Horizontal Image Flip(Monitor)] / [Vertical Image Flip(Monitor)] enables to reverse or not to reverse the monitor image when the free-angle monitor is rotated.
