Here are the first images of the Sony FE 14mm f/1.8 GM lens. The price of the wide-angle prime is rumored to be around $1,398. According to latest rumors, the upcoming Sony FE 14mm f/1.8 GM lens will be priced at 1600€ in the EU. This is a little cheaper than the FE 35mm f/1.4 GM lens (1700€ in the EU, $1,398 in the US).

Sony A1 vs Canon EOS R3 size comparison

Here is the Sony A1 vs Canon EOS R3 size comparison image. Interesting to see both pro mirrorless cameras with different body and grip.

As you know Canon has revealed the first details of its high-end EOS R3 pro mirrorless camera. As you can see from the product image, the new Canon EOS R3 features a large, one-piece design with an integrated vertical grip, much like company’s 1D-series DSLRs.

Pre-Order : Samyang AF 24mm f/1.8 FE Lens, Price $499

The new Samyang/Rokinon AF 24mm f/1.8 FE lens is now available for pre-order at B&H.

The latest addition to their “Tiny Series” lens lineup and as the name suggests, it offers a 24mm field of view with a wide f/1.8 aperture. It weights only 230g and measures only 71mm from front to back, but this is an autofocus lens, not manual.

The  is constructed of 11 elements in 8 groups, including two aspherical elements, three high-refractive index lenses and two extra-low dispersion elements. The lens features a minimum focusing distance of 19cm (7.48″), uses a nine-blade aperture diaphragm, has an aperture range of F1.8 to F22 and is weathersealed.

The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens is suitable for APS-C models where it provides a 53mm equivalent focal length. Samyang AF 24mm f/1.8 FE Astrophotography Lens for Sony E-mount

The new Samyang AF 24mm f/1.8 FE for Sony full-frame E-mount cameras. The wide-angle prime lens has been specially optimized for astrophotography.

Weighing only 230g and measuring just 71mm in length, the Samyang 24mm F1.8 lens features a new function called “Custom Mode” which automatically move the focus directly to infinity, complete with an LED indicator.

The Samyang AF 24mm f/1.8 FE Lens for Sony is priced at £459.99 in the UK and will be available from early May. Preorders should be online soon at BHphoto.

Sony a7R IIIA and a7R IVA Officially Announced

Sony quietly announced two small updated version of their current a7R III and a7R IV cameras: Sony a7R IIIA (LCE-7RM3A) and Sony a7R IVA (ILCE-7RM4A).

Both new models include several upgrades from the a7R III and a7R IV cameras. Pre-orders should be open soon at Adorama and B&H.

Here are the changes on the Sony a7R IIIA and a7R IVA cameras

  • LCD screen resolution changed from 1.44 million dots to 2,359,296 dots
  • Both cameras are now compatible with USB 3.2 (SuperSpeed USB 5Gbps)
  • No Sony logo under the LCD screen (see above picture)
  • The battery life has also been updated
