Canon EOS R5 price to be over $6,000 ? The Australian retailer Camera Warehouse has listed the upcoming Canon EOS R5 on their website. The price of the full-frame mirrorless camera is A$ 10,499 which corresponds to around US$ 6,750.

The Canon EOS R5 is the most anticipated camera in 2020 with lots of amazing features and it will be the first camera from Canon that supports 8K RAW internal video recording up to 29.97 fps with no crop.

This is another indication that the mid-range full frame mirrorless Canon EOS R6 camera. On the other hand we already know that the Canon EOS R6 official announcement has been delayed to July 2020.

According to a German retailer Foto Hamer, the upcoming Canon EOS R5 full frame mirrorless camera will be officially announced on May 16, 2020. The next EOS R5 passed several Bluetooth wireless certifications worldwide and already listed at Adorama and B&HPhoto.

Here is a side by side comparison of the upcoming  Canon EOS R5 (Adorama, B&HPhoto), Canon EOS R (Amazon, Adorama) and Canon EOS RP (Amazon, Adorama)

From the image, you can see Canon EOS R5 inherits the overall design from the EOS R, but with the upper LCD mounted and the multifunction bar changed to a joystick. The size is about the same as Canon EOS R and a little larger than Canon RP. The operation feeling is better than Canon EOS R.

The design of Canon EOS R5 has the impression that the viewfinder shape is gentler than that of the EOS R, and is closer to that of a single-lens reflex camera EOS.

Canon EOS R5 is expected to start shipping in July 2020. It is already listed at Adorama, B&HPhoto.

Canon EOS R6 full frame mirrorless camera is rumored to be announced in May 2020. As you know we have met the full video specs of the upcoming Canon EOS R5 camera on Aptil 20 and saw the announcement of Canon EOS C300 Mark III Cinema Camera & CINE-SERVO 25-250mm T2.95 lens.

However we didn’t see anything related to the previously rumored Canon EOS R6 mirrorless camera. The latest rumor suggests that Canon is still planning to announce the Canon EOS R6 sometime in May 2020. We also expect the Canon EOS R5 to be officially announced along with the Canon EOS R6 in May. More details after the break!
