The newly announced Ricoh THETA X 360° Camera is now available for pre-order at B&H, Adorama for $796.99.

The Ricoh Theta X utilises a new CMOS sensor and image processor that can capture 48-megapixel, 360-degree still images. Users can also select from two image sizes: 11K for high-resolution bright-light indoor photography and 5.5K to capture images easily and efficiently in other conditions.

Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III firmware 1.3.0 incorporates the following enhancements:

1. Adds support for [Video Blog Recording Mode] setting to the [Movie Mode] function.
2. Adds support for [Zebra Settings] to the [Movie Mode] function.
3. Adds support for [Aspect marker] to the [Shooting information display setting] in [Movie Mode].
4. Adds support for [Recording emphasis] to the [Shooting information display setting].
5. Adds supports level display when AF mode is set to [Face + Tracking priority AF].

Firmware Version 1.3.0 is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.2.0. If the camera’s firmware is already Version 1.3.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

  • “DOF Priority (Deep)” has been added to the program line of the exposure settings.
  • The focus setting “Face Detection” is changed to “Face/Eye Detection”.
  • Added the aspect ratios “4:3” and “16:9” to “Cropping” in the image editing section of the playback settings.
  • Added “Image Rotation” to “Cropping” in the image editing section of the playback settings.
  • The monotone function has been added to “Base Parameter Adj” in the image editing section of the playback settings, and the filter effect function and color adjustment function have been added when monotone is selected.
  • When developing RAW files, you can now select “Continue” after RAW development.
