Canon has filed three new patents for RF mount superzoom lenses with f/2.8 bright aperture. The patent application describes the Canon RF 24-100mm f/2.8L, RF 24-300mm f/4-5.6 and 24-85mm f/2.8L lenses designed for the company’s full frame EOS R system.
The Canon RF 24-300mm f/4-5.6 lens will be a consumer oriented glass and the focal range is ideal for travel photography. Canon previously filed several RF superzoom lens patents. These lenses are the Canon RF 24-170mm f/4 Lens, Canon RF 28-135mm f/4 Lens, Canon RF 28-280mm f/2.8 Lens. Techart releases the TZC-01, an adapter that makes it possible to mount and use autofocus Canon EF lenses on Nikon Z6 and Z7 cameras
Techart says the TZC-01 will work with EF-mount lenses from Canon, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina and Zeiss. In addition to ‘native’ autofocus performance, the lenses will also maintain aperture control, stabilization features and EXIF data. Canon will also announce two inexpensive prime lenses for Canon EOS R and EOS RP full frame mirrorless cameras in 2020.
The first one is an RF f/2.8 Pancake lens, which is definitely in the works. This small and lightweight optic is expected to be announced sometime in the first half of 2020. Maybe it will have the same design as the current EF 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens.

Venus Optics announced the Laowa 4mm f/2.8 Fisheye lens for Canon EF-M (EOS M), Sony E, Fuji X mounts. The lens has a good price tag at $199.

Latest rumors suggests that Canon will announce another telephoto zoom lens. The product would be the RF 70-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens and it will arrive sometime in 2020.
The RF-series lens was previously mentioned in a patent application. While the Canon RF 70-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens offers a wider range in focal length, it will be particularly well-suited for wildlife and bird photography. The source also said to expect it to be about the same size as the recently released Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM ($2,699 at B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon).
