Canon EOS R6 Firmware Version 1.4.0 Now Available for Download

Canon released the firmware update version 1.4.0 for the Canon EOS R6 mirrorless camera.

Firmware Version 1.4.0 incorporates the following enhancements and fixes:

  1. Adds [Canon Log 3] to [Canon Log settings].
  2. Simultaneous movie recording on card 1 and card 2 has been added.
  3. Improves operation stability when using the RF400mm F2.8 L IS USM and RF600mm F4 L IS USM.
  4. Fixes an issue in which, during HDMI connection, if the camera’s screen turns off, a zebra pattern is displayed via the HDMI output.
  5. Fixes an issue in which sufficient image stabilization effects may not be attained immediately after the start of shooting.

Firmware Version 1.4.0 is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.3.1. If the camera’s firmware is already Version 1.4.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

Canon EOS R3 Announcement Scheduled for September 2021

According to previous reports, the e Canon EOS R3 announcement was expected on June 29. But unfortunately it didn’t happen. It has now been confirmed by reliable sources that the Canon EOS R3 full-frame mirrorless camera will be officially announced in September 2021.

Fujifilm X-T4, X-Pro3, and X-E4 Firmware Fix Released

Fujifilm fixed some issues in some of the previously released firmware which they announced here. It took them about a week to correct these bugs so it should be safe to update your camera now.

Nikon Z fc and Nikon Z fc with 28mm f/2.8 Special Edition Kit Will Be in Short Supply

Nikon Japan issued a statement that the new Nikon Z fc camera body and the Nikon Z fc with 28mm f/2.8 special edition kit will be in short supply.

The Nikon Z fc mirrorless camera was officially announced on June 29, 2021 and scheduled for release on July 31, 2021. The retro-styled camera is now available for pre-order at all the major US stores.

Sony a7R V Coming in 2022 with 102MP Sensor?

According to recent reports, the Sony a7R V will be released in 2022 with a new 102MP full frame sensor. Of course, the image here is not real, but the expectation is that the sensor resolution of the Sony A7RV will be 102MP.

The Sony A7R series is a high resolution mirrorless camera model designed not for video shooters but for photographers who care about details

Rumors : Canon EOS R5C Coming in Q1 of 2022

As you may remember, we started talking about the EOS R5c mirrorless camera that Canon has been working last year. Now we have several confirmations that the development of Canon EOS R5C cinema camera is on the way.

The rumor mill claims that the Canon EOS R5C camera could be announced around NAB in October this year, but apparently it has been postponed to the first quarter of 2022. We think that Canon wants to release it within 60 days after its announcement.

The Canon EOS R5C camera is expected to have the same image sensor as the Canon EOS R5 and will have all of the same recording options (8K30 Raw and 4K120 10-Bit Internal Video). In addition, the Canon EOS R5C will be equipped with a powerful cooling system, a slightly different form factor, and more codecs for video recording as well as a full-size HDMI port, and it is expected to be a very attractive camera especially for those who mainly use videos for long turns.
