Venus Optics announced new “Argus” lenses with f/0,95 aperture. New f/0,95 Argus lenses are available in Sony E, Fuji X and MFT mounts. The names of these lenses are 25mm f/0,95 for MFT, 33mm f/0,95 for Fuji X, 35mm and 45mm f/0,95 for Sony E.

Sirui announced a new 24mm f/2.8 1.33x anamorphic APS-C lens.
The Sirui 24mm F2.8 features a 1.33x squeeze factor and an imaging circle that covers APS-C. In common with the previous lenses this model will come in a native Micro Four Thirds mount, but with adapters for Sony E, Canon EF-M, Nikon Z and Fujifilm X cameras.
The new lens is constructed of 13 elements arranged in 10 groups, and an 8-bladed iris. The maximum aperture at F2.8 is 1 1/3rd stops smaller than the 50mm and 35mm F1.8 lenses, and at between 125mm and 128mm it is slightly longer than the previous models too. Its closest focusing distance of 0.6m (2ft) is a little better than the 0.85m of the other lenses, and it accepts a 77mm filter instead of the 67mm of the 50mm/35mm lenses. Continue reading…
Nils Häussler from Olympus Germany has given some information about their JIP plans. According to the talk, Olympus PEN-F Mark II camera is still being considered and besides that there will be new Olympus branded cameras in 2021.
He also said that being into a new smaller company will make it easier to focus on the camera market and to develop new products.
