Canon Working on RF 18mm f/1.0 and 25mm f/1.2 Lenses

Canon’s plans for exotic RF-mount lenses continues, with new designs for ultra-fast ultra wide-angle optics.

As a result the company filed patents for Canon RF 18mm f/1.0, Canon RF 18mm f/1.2 and Canon RF 25mm f/1.2 optics.  Both lenses are not in Canon’s RF lens roadmap.

Canon EOS RS high-megapixel full frame mirrorless camera to be announced in early 2020. According to latest rumors, Canon will announce a new high megapixel full frame mirrorless camera to replace current EOS 5DS/5DS R in February of 2020. This high-resolution monster is expected to be named as Canon EOS RS.

Canon EOS RS will be equipped with Canon’s next-generation sensors, probably 60-80MP as rumored before, new DIGIC processors and a new form factor that will include the smart controller we first saw on the EOS-1D X Mark III. Sony has released a new firmware update for the RX10 IV, which adds the company’s Real-Time Animal Eye AF functionality, as well as other performance enhancements.

Sony RX10 IV firmware version 2.0 adds the AI-driven Real-Time Eye AF technology for detecting both animals and humans within the frame.

Canon EOS-1D X Mark III Interview

DPReview recently had an interview with senior executives at Canon – Mr. Toshio Matsumoto, Senior Principle Engineer, and Mr. Kazuyuki Suzuki, Chief of Operations about the Canon EOS-1D X Mark II. Of the two, Mr. Toshio Matsumoto is known as the ‘father of the EOS-1‘.  The new Canon EOS-1D X Mark III is now listed at B&H Photo.

The upcoming flagship DSLR camera will have an all-new CMOS sensor with Dual Pixel AF and a new Digic processor. Latest tests suggests that it will have an amazing battery life and it will be much better than the current 1DX II.

Nikon D750 Replacement Rumored Specs, to be Announced in Early 2020

Here are the latest rumored Nikon D750 replacement specs. The mid range DSLR camera will be officially announced in early 2020, probably in January-February, to replace both the Nikon D750 and the Nikon D610.

The model name will not be called Nikon D760, but a higher model number could be as D770, D790 or D750 Mark II.
