Sigma Announces Trio of Nikon Z Mount Primes for APS-C Cameras

Sigma has announced three new primes for Nikon Z APS-C cameras: Sigma 16mm F1.4 / 30mm F1.4/ 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens. They are now listed at B&H.

All the new primes have bright, f/1.4 maximum apertures with compact builds with 35mm equivalent focal lengths of 24mm, 45mm, and 84mm, respectively.

Three F1.4 prime lenses (16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary, 30mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary, 56mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary), which are currently available in five mounts (Sony E-mount, Canon EF-M mount, FUJIFILM X Mount, Micro Four Thirds mount and L-Mount) will be simultaneously released in Z Mount.

Canon EOS R8, R50, RF 24-50mm F4.5-6.3, RF-S 55-210mm F5-7.1 Officially Announced

Canon today officially announced the new  Canon EOS R8, EOS R50, RF 24-50mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM, RF-S 55-210mm F5-7.1 IS STM Lenses. Now the new Canon EOS R8, R50, RF 24-50mm F4.5-6.3, RF-S 55-210mm F5-7.1 IS STM Lenses are available for pre-order at Adorama | B&H Photo. All products will be available in Spring 2023.

Nikon NIKKOR Z 85mm F1.2 S and NIKKOR Z 26mm F2.8 Lens Announced

Nikon has just officially announced two new lenses for full-frame mirrorless cameras: Nikon NIKKOR Z 85mm F1.2 S lens and Nikon NIKKOR Z 26mm F2.8 Lens.

Both the lenses are now availalbe for pre-order. NIKKOR Z 85mm F1.2 S lens costs $2,796.95 and Nikkor Z 26mm F2.8 lens for $496.95.

Canon RF-S 11-22mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Lens Coming in the first half of 2023

Canon is expected to release at least three new RF-S lenses in 2023, two of which will be based on existing EF-M models.

One of the lenses that is rumored to be launching in the first half of 2023 is an RF-S 11-22mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM. The EF-M version of this lens was a favorite of EOS M shooters when it was first released, and it remains a popular choice today thanks to its excellent image quality and affordable price.

Canon recently announced the new RF-S 18–45mm F4.5–6.3 IS STM and RF-S 18–150mm F3.5–6.3 IS STM that are designed to be paired with the new EOS R7 and R10 cameras. In addition to these products, Canon is rumored to announce several new RF-S APS-C mirrorless lenses in 2023.

At the moment, CP+ is also scheduled to be held locally, so what kind of new products will Canon announce for CP+? We’re looking forward to it.

Nikon Announces the Development of the NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S and NIKKOR Z 26mm f/2.8 Lenses

Nikon just officially announced the development of the NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S, a fast mid-telephoto prime lens, and the NIKKOR Z 26mm f/2.8, a slim wide-angle prime lens, for Z-mount full-frame/FX-format mirrorless cameras.

Nikon is being very tight-lipped about their new ultrafast telephoto prime, leaving us with just the focal length, maximum aperture and 82mm front filter thread revealed in the single product image released alongside the press release. Unfortunately, we don’t know anything about pricing or availability just yet, but if you’re attending CES 2023 in Las Vegas from January 5–8, you can get a sneak peek of the lens at Nikon’s booth.

New Firmware Updates for Fujifilm X-T5, X-H2 and X-S10 Released

Fujifilm has just released the new firmware updates for the Fujifilm  X-T5, X-H2 and X-S10 cameras.

  1. The firmware bug has been fixed, which caused that the color reproduction looks bad in the under-exposure area of the image when taking the photo under the following conditions.

    ・LENS MODULATION OPTIMIZER：ON
    ・SMOOTHS SKIN EFFECT：“STRONG” or “WEAK”
