The firmware Update 1.01 for Sony A1 fixes the IBIS issue and improves overall stability.

Canon Patents for RF 24mm f/1.2, RF 28mm f/1.2 and RF 35mm f/1.2 Lenses

Here are several new Canon patents application that shows optical formulas for three fast prime lenses. These Canon lenses are the RF 35mm f/1.2L, 35mm f/1.4L, 28mm f/1.2L and 24mm f/1.2L.

Canon RF 14-35mm f/4L IS USM Lens to be Announced Soon

The is the next optic that Canon will announce soon. Official announcement is expected within a month.

The product code of the Canon RF 14-35mm f/4L IS is 4857C005. As Nokishita reports, the lens showed up in Canon’s product catalog. The lens was already rumored in the Canon RF Lens Roadmap for 2021 & 2022.

Venus Optics Announces Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT Lens with Automatic Aperture Control

Venus Optics has announced an updated version of its Laowa 7.5mm f/2 Micro Four Thirds (MFT) lens that has electronic aperture control.

This lens is currently the widest rectilinear lens available for Micro Four Thirds. It gives a field of view equivalent to a 15 mm lens on 35 mm sensors. This allows MFT users to enjoy an impressive 110° ultra wide angle of view for a broad range of shooting.

The new lens features the same optical construction as its fully-manual predecessor (13 elements in nine groups), but adds an electronically-controlled aperture at the cost of reducing the number of aperture blades to five.

Designed for the MFT system, Laowa 7.5mm f/2 lens with electronic aperture control costs $549. Venus Optics lenses are sold atAdorama and B&HYou can view a gallery of full-sized sample images on Venus Optics’ Flickr album.

New ZY Optics Mitakon Speedmaster 50mm f//0.95 Lens for L-mount

ZY Optics released a new version of their Mitakon Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95 version III for full frame L mount (Sigma FP, Panasonic S1 and S1H, Leica SL, SL2).

The price of the new lens is $799 and you can order with free international shipping. The bright prime lens is also available for Nikon ZSony E, and Canon RF mounts.

The ZY Optics Mitakon 50mm f/0.95 M-mount lens weighs 1.38 lb. (675g). The lens is 3.46″ (88mm) long and has a maximum diameter of 2.95″ (75mm). The lens has a 75mm filter thread.  Other features include a nine-blade aperture diaphragm, an aperture range of F0.95 through F16 and a 100cm (3.25ft) minimum focusing distance. First Specs of Sony FE 100mm f/1.4 GM Lens Leaked

Here are the first rumored specifications of Sony FE 100mm f/1.4 GM Lens. Looking at the latest news, we can see that Sony will update some GM series lenses this year.

Sony will upgrade the FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM lens and FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS lens in late 2021. It seems that a new Sony FE 100mm f/1.4 GM Lens will arrive in the next few months period.

This Sony FE 100mm f/1.4 GM Lens is rumored to come with quad xd motors, super ed, xa *3 + super ed *1 and nano ar ii. The filter size is 82mm, and it weights only 875g. If this spec is true, the Sony FE 100mm f/1.4 GM Lens will be 110 grams lighter than Nikon’s 105mm f1.4E and seem to be considerably lighter. Olympus Unveils M.Zuiko 8-25mm F4 Pro Micro Four Thirds lens

Olympus unveiled a new wide-angle zoom lens to its ‘Pro’ lineup of high-end Micro Four Thirds lenses: the M.Zuiko Digital ED 8-25mm F4 Pro.

This is Olympus’ first collapsable Pro lens, and its 411 gram (14.5 ounces) weight makes it easy to carry around.

The 8-25mm PRO has a 35mm-equivalent field of view of 16-50mm and an F8 equivalent aperture. The lens has numerous special elements, including a ‘DSA’ (dual super aspherical) element to reduce sagittal flare or comatic aberration (commonly referred to as ‘coma‘). A special ‘ZERO’ coating helps prevent flare and ghosting.

The 8-25mm PRO has a minimum focus distance of 23cm (9.1″) across its focal range, and a maximum magnification of 0.42x on its telephoto end. A clutch on the lens barrel makes it easy to switch between auto and manual focus.

Price and Availability

The M.Zuiko Digital ED 8-25mm F4 Pro will be available in July for $1099.

Full Olympus 8-25mm f/4 PRO Lens Specs, Price to be $1,099

OM Digital will announce the new E-P7 camera and the 8-25mm f/4.0 PRO lens. The official announcement is expected to happen on June 9 and the 8-25mm lens will be released on June 25. When  it comes to the price, the wide-angle zoom Micro Four Thirds lens will cost around $1099.99 (the LH-76E lens hood will be $34.99).
