The Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM lens is now officially announced. The US price is $1,998, and it is now available for pre-order at B&HPhoto. Adorama and Amazon.

This is the 60th lens in Sony E mount lineup and the new ultra fast prime competes with the already excellent Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L USM and Nikon NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S  optics. The lens gives photographers an extra 1/2-stop of light in a body the same size and weight as the Zeiss 50mm f/1.4. Atomos announces development of ProRes RAW support for Sony FX3

Atomos announces development of Apple ProRes RAW support on the Ninja V for Sony’s New FX3. With the Apple ProRes RAW support, Sony FX3 will be getting 4.3K/60p ProRes RAW external recording to Ninja V.

The FX3 is Sony’s latest offering in its newly formed Cinema Camera Line and borrows a lot of its features from the popular a7S III, remixing it into a body better suited for video-centric workflows.

According to Atomos, they will soon enable the Ninja V 5-inch monitor/recorder to record 12bit ProRes RAW up to 4.3K/60p from the Sony FX3.

Sony Notice to The Owners of FE 35mm f/1.4 GM Lens

As you remember, we have announced in previous articles that there will be a delay in the delivery of the Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM lens. A notice letter explaining the reason for this was submitted by Sony.

According to this, Sony Hong Kong notified that the early batch of lenses may have an issue with the ornament plate. Those lenses will now be repaired for free.

Rumors : Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM Lens Specifications

Nikon Z9 Camera Now Listed at B&H Store

Fujifilm X-H2 to be Announced in Late 2021, Full Specs

Fujifilm registeres a new camera under the code name FF 210001. We believe this camera code refers to the exciting Fujifilm X-H2. We think of this because of the information we have obtained from reliable sources before, and the Fuji X-H2, the model that came into its turn in the product announcement cycle. Besides,  rumors indicate that Fuji will probably announce the X-H2 camera before the X-T5.

It seems that the Fujifilm X-H2 release date will take place in the last months of 2021… If we need to give a date for the Fuji X-T5, we can best see it in the first months of 2022, in the end of January announcement that Fuji always makes.
