Canon Rebel T8i DSLR camera announced. The Canon EOS Rebel T8i (850D) is a 24MP DSLR with DIGIC 8 processor and 4K video for those with an existing collection of EF/EF-S lenses.
The Rebel EOS T8i is Canon’s latest Rebel-series flagship, and packs a pretty impressive set of features, including a new Digic 8 processor, which enables 7 fps continuous shooting and 4K video capture (including 24p).
Canon released a new kit lens for the RF Mount. The Canon RF 24–105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM is a smaller, lighter, cheaper alternative to the current L lens – and it shoots macro.
Canon announces the development of Canon EOS R5 full frame mirrorless camera. This will be a flagship RF-mount mirrorless camera with built-in image stabilization, capable of 8K video and 20fps burst mode.

Alongside the R5, Canon is also teasing ‘9 RF lenses’ coming later this year, including a new telezoom – the RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM. Samples of the R5, the 100-500mm, and two new RF Extenders (1.4X and 2X) are expected to be shown at the WPPI show in Las Vegas, and the CP+ show in Yokohama, Japan.
The Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS was announced back in August 2019 and it is one of the ‘holy trinity’ lenses for the Canon EOS R and EOS RP full frame mirrorless system.
