According to latest rumors, the upcoming Canon EOS-1D X Mark III will arrive in 2020, ahead of Tokyo Olympic games. 1D X Mark III is rumored to have very exciting specs that promise to compete with, and possibly outperform, Nikon’s upcoming D6.

According to a recent report from Japan’s primary newspaper Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, Canon is expected to release an EOS-1D X Mark III equivalent EOS R Pro full frame mirrorless camera in 2021. Nikkan Kogyo Shimbum also said that prototype of EOS R Pro is already completed.

Canon EOS 90D and Canon EOS-1D X Mark III digital SLR cameras are rumored to feature IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization).
The latest rumor suggests Canon will “definitely” bring IBIS to “select” DSLR cameras in the near future. Although currently we are not sure which camera(s) would be getting IBIS, but the Canon EOS 90D, which will be announced in the next several months, would be a good bet, especially the Canon EOS 90D will most likely replace both the EOS 80D and the EOS 7D Mark II. Nikon and Canon are both rumored to release their high-end cameras before the 2020 Summer Olympic Games. The products are as expected the Nikon D6 and Canon EOS 1D Mark III.
We are likely to see Canon’s 1D X Mark III and Nikon D6 to be announced in Q4 of 2019 to Q2 of 2020. Just ahead of 2020 Summer Olympic games in Tokyo, Japan.

The Canon EOS-1D X Mark III is in testing by a small number of photographers and/or engineers.
The EOS 1D X Mark II was announced in February 2016 and it is almost 3 years old. According to recent reports, EOS-1D X Mark III DSLR is rumored to be announced in late 2019 or early 2020.
