Sony ZV-E1 Camera to be Announced on March 29

According to the latest rumors, Sony’s first full-frame E-mount Blogger focused camera will be announced on March 29, the name of the camera is “ZV-E1.

Sony ZV-E1 Rumored Specs:

  • New ZV-E1 E-mount camera is based on the Sony a7S III
  • The Sony ZV-E1 body is a mix between the FX3 and a7C.
  • The autofocus is from the Sony a7R V
  • 4k60 & 4k 120 (no crop), 4k120 will NOT be launch at first, will come with firmware update after the summer
  • no pixel binning
  • 409k ISO
  • Cheaper than the a7s III (now over 3000 dollars/Euro)

The new Sony ZV-E1 body will be a mix of the FX3 and the a7C, and if the AF is based on the a7R V, it is possible that the new ZV-E1 will be equipped with an AI chip, which will take its performance to a whole new level.

In terms of video capabilities, the ZV-E1 is expected to offer 4K60 and 4K120 without any crop, which is a significant improvement over the a7S III. However, it is worth noting that the 4K120 feature will not be available at launch and will be released via a firmware update after the summer.

Canon EOS R6 Firmware 1.8.1 Released (Fixes the 1.8.0)

Looks like there was a bug or two in the recently released v1.8.0 firmware for the Canon EOS R6. There was an issue with “Err 70” that has now been resolved. Canon swiftly released another, error-free firmware update with the Canon EOS R6 v1.8.1

Canon EOS R6 firmware 1.8.1 delivers the following:

This firmware includes the following enhancements and fixes:

  • You can now trim and resize images while transferring them to the FTP server.
  • After updating to firmware version 1.8.0, the phenomenon that Err70 occurred under certain conditions has been fixed.
  • Fixed minor bugs.
    • *1. and 3. are changes in Version 1.8.0, and 2. are additions in Version 1.8.1.

Concerning the previous firmware:

In firmware version 1.8.0, which had been stopped downloading, it was confirmed that Err70 etc. was displayed under certain conditions.
Customers who have already updated to Version 1.8.0 are kindly requested to update to Version 1.8.1. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Sony A7S IV to be Announced in Q3 or Q4, 2023 w/ No 8K Video

So let’s talk about the latest rumors on Sony A7s IV camera. According to latest Sony rumors, this new camera will be announced in Q3 or Q4 of 2023. It will have 6K sensor for RAW video and the highest dynamic range ever.

This will be a new, top of the line and very expensive pro video-centric mirrorless camera without 8K video recording. Rumors: Sony a7C Mark II to be Announced in Late 2023 w/ 33MP

The a7C is a success full frame vlogging camera on the market. The a7C Mark II is expected to feature a higher megapixel CMOS sensor, could use Sony a7 IV‘s 33MP Exmor R CMOS Sensor. According to latest rumors, the upcoming Sony a7C II announcement and release date will both happen in 2023.

The Sony a7C Mark II will be a compact version of recently released Sony a7 IV, shares the same image sensor and IBIS. The compact full frame mirrorless will have the same IBIS unit, that we have seen in the Sony A74 camera. But, the EVF is expected to remain the same as the current Sony A7C.

Samyang AF 75mm F1.8 APS-C Lens for Fujifilm X mount

Samyang has just officially announced the new Samyang 75mm AF 75mm f/1.8  for Fujifilm X mount. It is a very lightweight and compact lens, which gives you a field of view of around 21,9° with a minimum focusing distance of only 69cm. This is the second X mount AF lens after the Samyang AF 12mm f/2 X.
