Sony FE 20mm f/1.8 G Lens Specs Leaked, Announcement on February 25

Here are the first rumored specifications of the upcoming Sony FE 20mm f/1.8 G lens. The wide-angle prime lens for full frame Sony E-mount is expected to be announced on February 25, 2020.

Rumored Sony FE 20mm f/1.8 G Lens Specifications:

  • 67mm filter diameter
  • 0,19 minimal focal distance
  • Function button on lens with switch for MF and AF
  • Aperture ring like the 24mm Gmaster with click less option
  • Material and feel touch same as 16-55 f/2.8

Confirmed : Sony FE 20mm f/1.8 G Lens to be Announced Soon

As mentioned several times, Sony will announce a new wide-angle prime lens in February, 2020. It is now confirmed from the rumor mill that this new lens is Sony FE 20mm f/1.8 G lens (SEL20F18G). The official announcement is expected in on February 25th, 2020.

Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM Lens Scheduled to Arrive this Summer

Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM lens is rumored to be released before this Summer. New wide-angle zoom optic will expand the ultra-high-resolution G Master series lens lineup which is optimized for full-frame E-mount cameras. The officially announcement for this Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM lens is expected to be in the Spring of 2020.

If you are an owner of the Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 GM, it is a bigger and heavier lens. Even it’s better than the 12-24mm f/4 at the equivalent focal lengths, the lens is bulkier. Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2x Macro Lens Price, Specs, Availability

Laowa have released price, specs and availability information for the 65mm f/2.8 2x macro lens.

The Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2X Macro APO will be available for Canon EOS M, Fujj X and Sony E mirrorless camera systems. The price of this manual lens is $399. Laowa lenses are listed at B&H Photo and Adorama.

Venus Optics claims that this is the only APS-C mirrorless lens currently on the market capable of achieving a 2:1 magnification.

The 65mm f/2.8 is a compact macro lens available for Fuji X, Sony E and Canon M mount cameras. Venus Optics say they specially designed this lens for use with mirrorless cameras which use APS-C sensors.

Sony a7 IV and a7S IV Rumored Specs

A specs comparison table for upcoming Sony A7 Mark IV and A7s Mark IV have been leaked online. In fact, the table below shows the characteristics of the sensors that were previously available for Sony and third-party companies.

Sony a9 II, FE 24mm f/1.4 GM and FE 135mm f/1.8 GM Firmware Updates Released

Sony released  new firmware updates for the Sony a9 II, FE 24mm f/1.4 GM and FE 135mm f/1.8 GM.

Firmware update version 1.0.1 for A9 II improves the overall stability and performance of the camera while firmware version 02 for 24mm f/1.4 GM (Amazon | B&H Photo Video) and 135mm f/1.4 GM (Adorama | Amazon) lenses improves aperture response when these lenses attached to the ILCE-9, ILCE-9M2 and ILCE-7RM4 camera models.

Techart Releases TZC-01 – New Canon EF to Nikon Z Autofocus Adapter

Techart releases the TZC-01, an adapter that makes it possible to mount and use autofocus Canon EF lenses on Nikon Z6 and Z7 cameras

Techart says the TZC-01 will work with EF-mount lenses from Canon, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina and Zeiss. In addition to ‘native’ autofocus performance, the lenses will also maintain aperture control, stabilization features and EXIF data. Tokina has announced the release of its new atx-m 85mm F1.8 FE lens for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless camera systems. It is the debut lens for Tokina’s atx-m series of mirrorless lenses that will include lenses for multiple mounts and sensor formats.

The Tokina 85mm f/1.8 FE lens features a clean design with high quality optics housed in a beautifully anodized, semi-satin black metal lens barrel. The fast f/1.8 aperture is perfect for portraits, low light shooting and produces beautiful bokeh.

Tokina 85mm f/1.8 FE lens will hit shelves around the world on February 7, 2020 for an estimated street price of $500 (preorder it now at BHphoto and Adorama).
