Nikon Rumored to Release Two New DSLRs in 2021

According to a recent reports, Nikon plans to release two new DSLRs in 2021 along with several new F-mount lenses.

Apparently, Nikon has stated that it has not stopped the development of DSLRs because the company is not quite ready to give up on the F-mount. Nikon Z8 & Z9 Rumored to Feature with 60MP and 14fps Burst

Latest rumors suggest that the Nikon Z8 / Z9 will feature flagship-level 14fps shooting. We already posted that the upcoming Nikon Z8 / Nikon Z9 could have a 60MP sensor, but according to the latest reports it could also feature a top continuous shooting speed of 14 frames per second using the mechanical shutter.

Nikon will announce a new mirrorless camera that features 60.8MP (9552×6364) sensor which is able to shoot 16-bit RAW NEF files (Nikon will introduce a lossy compressed RAW codec to reduce the file size). The previous rumors claimed that the IMX455 Sony 61MP sensor which is already used on Sony A7R IV will be on the next Nikon full frame mirrorless camera. Possible candidate for this sensor is the Nikon Z8.

So what’s next for Nikon. The upcoming Nikon D880 (Replacement of D850) is expected to arrive after the Z8 announcement. According to rumor mill, we’ll see the D850 replacement in early 2021.The high-resolution DSLR will also feature with 60MP IMX455 sensor from Sony a7R IV. Continue reading…

Nikon Z8 and D880 Rumored to Feature 60MP Sony IMX455 Sensor

Both the upocoming Nikon Z8 and D880 full frame cameras are rumored to feature 60MP Sony IMX455 sensor.

According to latest rumors, Nikon is  rumored to announce a new high-end/professional Z-mount full frame mirrorless camera in 2020.  The name of this high-end/professional full frame mirrorless camera would be Nikon Z8, which has been in the rumor mill for a long time.

The Nikon Z8 will feature the 60MP IMX455 sensor found in the Sony a7R IV. The Z8 body to have dual CFexpress card slots and a vertical grip. It will be more expensive than Nikon Z6 & Z7. The release date for Nikon Z8 camera will be in late 2020.

Nikon D880 to be Announced on 2020, First Specifications

In addition to the D780 DSLR announced by Nikon at the CES 2020 event at the beginning of the year, it is stated that if all goes well, the D850 successor will be named as Nikon D880 towards the end of the year.

In terms of Nikon D880 features, the camera will carry almost the same basic features that we saw on the Nikon Z7. While the sensor resolution has not yet been confirmed, multiple rumors indicate that Nikon D880 DSLR prototypes with specifications 47MP and 55MP FF BSI CMOS Sensor are available.

We have already told you that the name of this model might be the Nikon D860, and we also emphasized that it will include a new 60MP sensor that comes with the Sony A7r IV. Continue reading…
