Venus Optics Unveils Laowa 10mm f/2 Zero-D MFT Lens

Venus Optics launches Laowa 10mm f/2 Zero-D MFT lens for Micro Four Thirds.

Offering a 96° Angle of view and equipped with 46mm filter threads, no matter using for landscape, astrophotography or architecture photography, the lens is always able to produce impressive results without any extra burden.

The lens also equipped with a CPU chip and motor. You can now control the aperture in-camera and record all the metadata in the EXIF. It will be also perfect for vlogging, drones and other lightweight videography setups.

Sony FE 28-60mm f/4-5.6 Lens Release Date Scheduled for January 29, 2021

Sony Japan released a statement about the long-delayed Sony FE 28-60mm f/4-5.6 lens.  The FE 28-60mm is slated to be available on its own in January 29, 2021 for $499 (B&HAdorama).

Sirui 24mm f/2.8 1.33x Anamorphic APS-C Lens Announced

Sirui announced a new 24mm f/2.8 1.33x anamorphic APS-C lens.

The Sirui 24mm F2.8 features a 1.33x squeeze factor and an imaging circle that covers APS-C. In common with the previous lenses this model will come in a native Micro Four Thirds mount, but with adapters for Sony E, Canon EF-M, Nikon Z and Fujifilm X cameras.

The new lens is constructed of 13 elements arranged in 10 groups, and an 8-bladed iris. The maximum aperture at F2.8 is 1 1/3rd stops smaller than the 50mm and 35mm F1.8 lenses, and at between 125mm and 128mm it is slightly longer than the previous models too. Its closest focusing distance of 0.6m (2ft) is a little better than the 0.85m of the other lenses, and it accepts a 77mm filter instead of the 67mm of the 50mm/35mm lenses. MEIKE 35mm T2.1 Full-Frame CINE Lens

MEIKE has announced a new 35mm T2.1 Full-Frame CINE lens, designed for full-frame cameras. The MEIKE 35mm T2.1 lens will be available in a number of mounts including Canon EF/RF, PL-Mount, Sony E-Mount, and L-Mount.

It has industry-standard 0.8mm pitch gears on the focus and aperture ring. The lens design of the Meike 35mm T2.1 FF-Prime consists of fourteen elements in nine groups. The aperture mechanism consists of 11 aperture blades, and there is a minimum focus distance of 33mm.

Leica SL2-S Full-frame Mirrorless Camera Announced, Price $4,895

Leica has announced the new Leica SL2-S full-frame mirrorless camera, designed for both stills and video. The new Leica SL2-S is the company’s third full-frame L-mount camera, and is the most video-focused yet.

The camera features a 24mp BSI CMOS sensor, unlimited 4K CINE (10-bit) video recording, and a 4GB buffer to allow for longer continuous shooting at 25fps. There’s also built-in in-body image stabilisation, a multi-shot mode to allow 96mp images to be taken, and weather-sealing.

Fujifilm Announces eXtended Data Firmware Update Available for FUJINON Premista Series

Tamron unveils 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD lens for Sony E mount

Tamron has announced the new 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD lens for Sony APS-C E-mount mirrorless cameras. Tamron’s new standard zoom for APS-C cameras is compatible with Sony’s Eye AF, Fast Hybrid AF and in-camera lens correction.

The Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD boasts a fast maximum aperture across its focal range and is also equipped with Vibration Compensation, making it promising for low-light shooters. According to Tamron,  the VC mechanism on the lens also uses AI technology when shooting video. The VC system also uses a Dual Micro Processing Unit with a built-in Digital Signal Processor. The Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD is comprised of 16 elements in 12 groups, of which there are two Glass Moulded Aspherical elements and one hybrid aspherical lens.

Sigma 24mm f/3.5, 35mm f/2, 65mm f/2 DG DN Contemporary Lenses for E-mount and L-mount

Sigma announced three new full-frame mirrorless L-series premium compact prime lenses for Sony E-mount and L-mount bodies. These Sigma lenses are 24mm f/3.5, 35mm f/2, 65mm f/2 DG DN Contemporary and will be available for sale through authorized US retailers in mid-January, 2021.

All three lenses have aperture rings and by-wire manual focus dials, and are driven by stepping motors. They all come with both metal lens caps that attach magnetically and with conventional plastic pinch-type lens caps. Sigma will offer a magnetic lens cap holder that’s attached to a carabiner. All three lenses.

Vazen launches the 65mm T2 1.8x Anamorphic Lens for Micro Four Thirds

Vazen, a new Chinese cinema lens brand, has announced the pricing and shipping availability of the Vazen 65mm T2 1.8x Anamorphic Lens for Micro Four Thirds (M43) cameras. In addition to the previously launched 28mm and 40mm, the whole Micro Four Thirds 1.8x Anamorphic lens set is now completed.
