Nikon Rumored to Release Two New DSLRs in 2021

According to a recent reports, Nikon plans to release two new DSLRs in 2021 along with several new F-mount lenses.

Apparently, Nikon has stated that it has not stopped the development of DSLRs because the company is not quite ready to give up on the F-mount. We also know and see that the majority of research and development moves are focused on mirrorless. Especially in 2020 we’ve met several Nikon Z cameras and lenses. Fujifilm XF 50mm f/1 R WR lens is a very good option if you do not own a XF56mm and would like weather resistance. It has a rounded diaphragm and its wide maximum aperture means that, paired with Fujifilm’s X-Pro3 and X-T4 cameras, users can autofocus at a luminance level of -7EV.

Fujifilm XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS WR Lens now in Stock & Shipping

The Fujifilm XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS II Lens is now in stock and shipping from several camera stores. The US price of the wide-angle zoom lens is $999.95 and available at major stores such as Amazon, B&H, Adorama.

Despite the sealing, the new lens is very slightly lighter than its predecessor (by 25g / 0.9oz) and optical image stabilization has been improved by one stop, bringing the total stabilizing effect to a rated 3.5EV (CIPA). When combined with the in-camera IBIS system of the X-T4, total stabilization increases to 6.5EV.

Fujifilm has released a new firmware update version 1.02 for Fujifilm X-S10 camera. The firmware update Ver.1.02 from Ver.1.01 incorporates a minor bug and several improvements (see below).

The mid-range mirrorless camera achieves an excellent 86% overall score and Silver Award from the experts at DPReview.

Fujifilm XF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 OIS Lens Rumored to Arrive in Early 2021

Fujifilm XF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 OIS Lens is expected to be announced in early 2021. It is said that this telephoto lens, which will be added to the company’s product range and is currently on the XF lens roadmap, will have a budget-friendly price.

Encompassing a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 105-460mm, this lens will serve to bridge portrait length to true telephoto perspectives and integrates several mechanical features in order to produce sharp, clear imagery.

Previously there were questions on whether the upcoming Fujifilm XF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 OIS Lens is weather resistant or not. We now know from the mock-up displayed at the Fujifilm X summit, it is marked as “weather resistant”.

Finally good thing is that, if you want to put together a set of Fujinon lenses to cover a wide focal length range with fewer optics, you could combine the 10-24mm, 16-80mm, and this 70-300mm. In other words This will complete a new lightweight, weather-sealed trinity with the 10-24 f/4 Mark II and the 16-80 f/4 a better companion for the similarly tough X-T4 and X-T3.

Nikon to end 70 years of camera production in Japan

After 70 years Nikon to end camera production in Japan, manufacturing moving to Thailand by the end of 2021. Japanese publication AERAdot (translated) has reported that Nikon is ending domestic camera production in Japan.

Cost-cutting is the main reason for the move. The Nikon factory in Sendai will continue to play an important role in future camera production. Currently, Z6 & Z7 and Z-mount lens production have already moved to Thailand, and D6 production will be moved to Thailand by the end of 2021. More details after the break !
