Sony a7 IV to be Announced in October 2021 w/ 33MP Sensor!

The Sony a7 IV camera is rumored to be announced by the end of October 2021. The announcement of the Sony a7 IV will be delayed due to the worldwide chip production shortage.

According to latest Sony rumors, the Sony a7 IV will use a newly developed 33MP full-frame sensor and 5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE sensor-shift image stabilization. This IBIS tech will be effective to minimize the appearance of camera shake by up to 5.5 stops, 4K 60p video recording as well as a $2499 price tag and more.

It will be interesting to see how far the dynamic range and readout performance of this newly developed sensor will evolve in Sony A7 IV. In addition, the image stabilization has been improved from the current 5 stops of the Sony a7 III to 5.5 stops, which is equivalent to the Sony a7R IV. Sigma 90mm f/2.8 & 24mm f/2 DG DN Contemporary Lenses Coming Soon

Sigma is rumored to announce two new lenses for Sony E and Leica L mount full frame mirrorless cameras. The two Sigma lenses are on the horizon and expected to be announced in the next few months.

Nikon to Announce NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 & Z 400mm f/2.8 S Lenses Soon

Nikon is rumored to announce the NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 & Z 400mm f/2.8 S Lenses soon. Official announcement will probably happen in November/December 2021 along with the Nikon Z9 flagship full frame mirrorless camera.

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 400mm f/2.8 S Lens is expected to have a built-in 1.4x converter just like the AF-S NIKKOR 180-400mm f/4E TC1.4 FL ED VR lens (with the TC the focal length will be 560mm).

Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD Lens for Fujifilm and Sony

Tamron has announced the development of the 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD lens – the first Tamron lens for Fujifilm X-mount, which will also be available in Sony E-mount.

With a minimum focus distance of 6 inches, the 18-300mm can deliver an impressive maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.

The Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A2 VC VXD is expected to be available later this year, but pricing information has yet to be released.
