New Venus Optics Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift Lens for Mirrorless Cameras

Venus Optics officially announced the Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift Lens – the World’s Widest Shift lens for full frame cameras and medium format cameras.

Available in Canon EF, Nikon F, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Sony FE mounts the lens is constructed of 17 elements in 11 groups, including two aspherical elements and a new lens coating. It has a 110-degree angle of view, offers a 65mm image circle and can shift +/-11mm on full-frame camera systems (+/-8mm when adapted for medium format cameras, such as Fujifilm GFX and Hasselblad X1D cameras).

The Laowa 15mm F4.5 Zero-D Shift is available to pre-order today for Canon EF, RF, Nikon F, Nikon Z and full-frame Sony E-mount camera systems for $1,199 on Venus Optics’ website. The Canon EF and Nikon F mount versions will be available in late November 2020, while the Canon RF, Nikon Z and full-frame Sony E-mount versions won’t be available until February 2021. The Nikon Z7 II is the second iteration of its high-resolution full-frame mirrorless camera.  It has a 45.7MP full-frame BSI sensor, but it’s now backed up by dual processors compared to the single processor in its predecessor.

The Nikon Z6 II is an updated version of the company’s 24MP multimedia full frame mirrorless camera. It gains more processing power to add improved autofocus and a few other tweaks to an already well-rounded feature set.

Atomos Ninja V to enable 12-bit 4K 30p ProRes Raw video on Nikon Z6 II, Z7 II

Atomos is set to release an update to the Ninja V that will enable 12-bit 4K ProRes Raw video recording at 30p when using the external monitor.

The new Nikon Z6 II & Nikon Z7 II full-frame mirrorless cameras will output 4K UHD or full-HD 12-bit RAW when combined with Atomos Ninja V HDR monitor-recorder when the new firmware update is released in winter 2020. Nikon Z6 II & Z7 II Announced with Improved Processors and Second Card Slot

Nikon has updated its full-frame mirrorless Z series with Nikon Z6 II & Nikon Z7 II. Both will offer dual Expeed 6 processors to boost buffer performance and top continuous shooting speeds, and each camera gains a second UHS-II SD card slot to complement the existing CFexpress/XQD slot.
