Nikon released a new firmware update for the Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S lens and updated their webcam utility software
The new standart zoom lens for Nikon full frame mirrorless cameras is 25% smaller and 18% lighter, with a totally redesigned optical formula comprising 17 elements in 15 groups, compared to the AF-S 24-70mm F2.8 for F-mount.

The ultra-wide angle NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S is the world’s shortest and lightest full-frame f/2.8 zoom lens with a 14mm field of view, enabling a versatile range to capture expansive views including cityscapes, landscapes, astrophotography and more. A new optical design makes it 35% lighter than the FX version. It has four ED elements, as well as Nikon’s Arneo and Nano Crystal coatings to reduce flare and other aberrations. So, this Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S lens is an ideal lens for landscapes, cityscapes, night skies, architecture, interiors and environmental portraits.

Venus Optics officially announced the Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift Lens – the World’s Widest Shift lens for full frame cameras and medium format cameras.
Available in Canon EF, Nikon F, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Sony FE mounts the lens is constructed of 17 elements in 11 groups, including two aspherical elements and a new lens coating. It has a 110-degree angle of view, offers a 65mm image circle and can shift +/-11mm on full-frame camera systems (+/-8mm when adapted for medium format cameras, such as Fujifilm GFX and Hasselblad X1D cameras).
The Laowa 15mm F4.5 Zero-D Shift is available to pre-order today for Canon EF, RF, Nikon F, Nikon Z and full-frame Sony E-mount camera systems for $1,199 on Venus Optics’ website. The Canon EF and Nikon F mount versions will be available in late November 2020, while the Canon RF, Nikon Z and full-frame Sony E-mount versions won’t be available until February 2021. Atomos is set to release an update to the Ninja V that will enable 12-bit 4K ProRes Raw video recording at 30p when using the external monitor.
