Fujifilm has released firmware updates for Fujifilm X-T200 and Fujifilm X-A7. The new firmware update allows to use these X-Series cameras as Webcam without Fujifilm X Webcam.

Sony A5 Full Frame E-Mount Camera Coming with under $1,000

Sony is rumored announce the Sony a5 – an entry level full frame mirrorless camera that will be priced under $1,000. If it turns out to be true, the Sony a5 will be a great competitor to the $899 Canon EOS RP.

After the Canon’s  entry-level EOS RP and Nikon’s respons with the Z50, it seems likely that Sony will announce the Sony A5 full-frame mirrorless camera as an answer.

The compoany will make a major product announcement on June 26th. There are two new Sony camera codes got registered: WW119533 –  WW271448. One of them is expected to be the highly-anticipated Sony A7s III model and the other one would be the Sony A5 entry-level full frame mirrorless camera. Canon EOS-1D X Mark III Sensor Tested at DxOMark

DXOMark just published their review of the sensor inside the Canon EOS-1D X Mark III. According to test results Canon EOS-1D X Mark III achieves an overall DXOMark score of 83 points which puts it at the 47th place in all the full-frame and MF sensors.

When we look at similar cameras, Canon EOS-1D X Mark III Sensor scores less than the Nikon D850 (100) or the Sony a7R IV (99). To compare the 1Dx MkIII with another sport oriented camera, the Sony a9 II scores significantly better with 93 points.  On the other hand the EOS-1D X Mark III sensor score is even behind the EOS-1D X Mark II (88).

Leica SL2 Firmware Update Version 2.0 Released

Leica Camera has released a new firmware version 2.0 for Leica SL2 mirrorless camera (B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon).  Version 2.0 includes a new Multishot feature that creates 187MP high-resolution photos.

The Leica SL2 is a L-mount full-frame mirrorless camera for professional stills photographers and videographers. It comes several significant updates and design changes when compared with the original Leica SL.

Panasonic G100 Camera to Feature 20MP sensor and 4k30p video

According to the first specs, the upcoming Panasonic G100 camera is rumored to feature 20.3MP MFT Sensor and able to capture 4K videos at 30p.

The new Panasonic G100 camera (LUMIX DC-G100) will be a replacement for the current Panasonic G90/G95/G99 models which is now $200 off and on sale at Adorama and B&H. The G100 is expected to be announced on June 24, 2020.

Full Canon EOS R6 Specifications

Full Canon EOS R6 specifications leaked. According to the details Canon EOS R6 users will be getting Log profiles but no RAW videos. For videos Canon EOS R6 also offers 10-bit output.

We think the absence of RAW video isn’t a big deal as Log curves are enough to get the most tonal range out of the sensor.  Canon EOS R5, EOS R6, and 6 new RF lenses with 2 teleconverters now confirmed and to be announced on July 9th.

Sigma 16mm, 30mm and 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lenses and USB Dock UD-11 for L-Mount and Canon EF-M

Sigma launched the popular 16mm F1.4 DC DN, 30mm F1.4 DC DN and 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary lenses for L-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras as well as the new Sigma USB Dock UD-11 which is designed for L-Mount and Canon EF-M mount.

The 16mm, 30mm, and 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary lenses are identical to their Sony E-mount, Canon EF-M mount and Micro Four Thirds predecessors, and are currently available to pre-order for $450 (AdoramaB&H), $340 (AdoramaB&H) and $480 (AdoramaB&H), respectively, with a July 10 shipping date.

Sigma’s new USB Dock UD-11 models use a USB Type-C connection and are available for Sigma L-mount and Canon EF-M mount mirrorless lenses. As with Sigma’s other docks, the UD-11 models makes it possible to update firmware and customize settings on Sigma lenses with these mounts.

Sigma TC-1411 1.4x and TC-2011 2x Teleconverters for L-Mount Lenses

In addition to the Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Lens (for L-mount and E-mount), Sigma has also announced two new L-mount teleconverters: the TC-1411 (1.4x) and the TC-2011 (2x).

Sigma says these two teleconverters are ‘Designed to complement Sigma’s renowned optical formulas’ and feature a dust- and splash-proof design ‘comparable to that of the Sigma Sports line lenses.’

Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary Lens for L-Mount and Sony E-Mount

Sigma today officially announced the new 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary telephoto zoom lens for E-mount and L-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras.

The telephoto zoom lens is constructed of 22 elements in 16 groups including one low dispersion element (FLD) and four special low dispersion (SLD) elements. It uses a stepping motor for autofocus, has a nine-blade aperture diaphragm, a minimum aperture range of F22–29 and a 67mm front filter thread. At 100mm it has a minimum focusing distance of 112cm (44”) and at 400mm it has a minimum focusing distance of 160cm (63”). The lens measures in at 86mm (3.4”) diameter, 197mm (7.8”) long and weighs 1,135g (40oz).
