Nikon D880 to be Announced on 2020, First Specifications

In addition to the D780 DSLR announced by Nikon at the CES 2020 event at the beginning of the year, it is stated that if all goes well, the D850 successor will be named as Nikon D880 towards the end of the year.

In terms of Nikon D880 features, the camera will carry almost the same basic features that we saw on the Nikon Z7. While the sensor resolution has not yet been confirmed, multiple rumors indicate that Nikon D880 DSLR prototypes with specifications 47MP and 55MP FF BSI CMOS Sensor are available.

Sony a9 II, FE 24mm f/1.4 GM and FE 135mm f/1.8 GM Firmware Updates Released

Sony released  new firmware updates for the Sony a9 II, FE 24mm f/1.4 GM and FE 135mm f/1.8 GM.

Firmware update version 1.0.1 for A9 II improves the overall stability and performance of the camera while firmware version 02 for 24mm f/1.4 GM (Amazon | B&H Photo Video) and 135mm f/1.4 GM (Adorama | Amazon) lenses improves aperture response when these lenses attached to the ILCE-9, ILCE-9M2 and ILCE-7RM4 camera models.

Techart Releases TZC-01 – New Canon EF to Nikon Z Autofocus Adapter

Techart releases the TZC-01, an adapter that makes it possible to mount and use autofocus Canon EF lenses on Nikon Z6 and Z7 cameras

Techart says the TZC-01 will work with EF-mount lenses from Canon, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina and Zeiss. In addition to ‘native’ autofocus performance, the lenses will also maintain aperture control, stabilization features and EXIF data. Tokina 85mm f/1.8 FE prime for full-frame Sony cameras

Tokina has announced the release of its new atx-m 85mm F1.8 FE lens for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless camera systems. It is the debut lens for Tokina’s atx-m series of mirrorless lenses that will include lenses for multiple mounts and sensor formats.

The Tokina 85mm f/1.8 FE lens features a clean design with high quality optics housed in a beautifully anodized, semi-satin black metal lens barrel. The fast f/1.8 aperture is perfect for portraits, low light shooting and produces beautiful bokeh.

Leica M10 Monochrom Black and White Camera

Leica Camera launches the new Leica M10 Monochrom. Building on the legendary M-system, Leica is taking digital black-and-white photography to the next level with the launch of the new Leica M10 Monochrom.

The new camera features a new 40.8mp full-frame monochrome CMOS sensor, and is available to purchase now for $8295 Adorama | B&H.

The new sensor has lowered the base ISO from 320 to 160, and Leica also claims an improvement in dynamic range. The camera works with all Leica M-Bayonet mount lenses, and features an ISO range of ISO160 to ISO100,000.

Sony A7 IV Coming with Vari-Angle Display

According to the latest rumors, the upcoming Sony A7 IV camera will feature the Vari-angle display and almost the same core features that we see on the Sony A7 III.

As everyone knows, Sony is making more vlogger-friendly and incremental updates of its mirrorless cameras. The Sony A6100,Sony A6400 and Sony A6600 are latest APS-c series cameras with vlog-friendly displays and modest updates.

Manfrotto Unveils Pro Rugged Memory Cards

Manfrotto Unveils Pro Rugged Memory Cards ! Manfrotto has launched a range of memory cards that it claims is the strongest on the market. Comprising of SD, MicroSD and CompactFlash models, the Pro Rugged series is claimed to combine high-speed performance with waterproof, crush-proof and temperature-proof build quality that can withstand extremes of use and conditions.

The Pro Rugged line features SD, microSD, and CF cards that are reportedly three times stronger than regular SD cards. They feature a solid molded plastic design that allows them to withstand over 44 lbs. of impact, -25°C to 85°C temperatures, and water submersion for up to 72 hours (at least for the SD and microSD cards).

The Pro Rugged MicroSD cards are V30 rated, offer 90MB/s read/write speeds and come in 64 and 128GB capacities, while the CompactFlash cards are UDMA 7 rated, offer 160MB/s and 130MB/s read/write speeds and also come in 64/128GB varieties. The CF cards aren’t waterproof but Manfrotto claims they are made from tougher materials than most cards, that they will last longer and that they can withstand a 35kg impact. They are suited to use in temperatures of between freezing and 70 degrees C.

Manfrotto Pro Rugged memory cards are now available through the brand’s website. They have retail prices of $115 for a 64GB SD, $225 for a 128GB SD, $32 for a 64GB microSD, $42 for a 128GB microSD, $80 for a 64GB CF, and $150 for a 128GB CF. The SD cards are currently being offered at 50% off.

Sony Announces New Shooting Grip With Wireless Remote Commander (GP-VPT28T)

Sony has announced a new shooting grip, featuring Bluetooth wireless remote control capability. The GP-VPT2BT features a zoom control, and the ability to take movies or stills by pressing a button with your thumb.

Sony GP-VPT28T wireless shooting grip designed to work with a number of Sony cameras. The grip, which also serves as a tripod, uses Bluetooth connectivity to wirelessly control the shutter, zoom and more on compatible cameras.
