Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens for Full Frame Mirrorless

Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens announced for full-frame mirrorless cameras. The Art lens will be released in August for Panasonic / Leica L-mount and Sony E-mount.

The company calls it the ‘definitive lens for astrophotography’ and emphasizes its ‘outstanding’ resolution to the edges of the frame, achieved in part thanks to the inclusion of low dispersion elements and Sigma’s Nano Porous Coating (NPC).

The lens is splash and dustproof, and features a rear filter holder. The aperture diaphragm uses 11 rounded blades, and the lens weighs 28 oz / 795g. Shipping will start in late August 2019 and US Price would be around $1,300.

Panasonic Announces Firmware Update Programs for the LUMIX S1R, S1, GH5, GH5S, G9, G90/G91/G95, G80/G81/G85 and GX9

Panasonic has announced that the company will release the firmware update programs for the LUMIX Digital Single Lens Mirrorless cameras to enhance the functions and usability.

Panasonic 1.4x & 2x L-mount Teleconverters Announced

In addition to Panasonic S1H 6K mirrorless camera, Panasonic also announced a 1.4x Teleconverter DMW-STC14 and a 2x Teleconverter DMW-STC20 for the LUMIX S Series telephoto zoom lenses.

Panasonic to Release the Upgrade Firmware Key DMW-SFU2 for LUMIX S1 in July 2019

Panasonic officially announced that they will release an Upgrade Firmware Key DMW-SFU2 for the Panasonic LUMIX S1 ($2,497.99 at AmazonB&HAdorama) full-frame mirrorless camera in July 2019 to expand the video performance.

The Upgrade Software Key DMW-SFU2 will go on sale in July 2019 at a cost of $199 in the US, €199 in Europe and £179 in the UK. Panasonic US says the update will be made available free to any existing S1 owners that have registered their camera, and for anyone who buys an S1 before July 31st. Along with the Panasonic S1H 6K full frame mirrorless camera, the long wait is finally over for the Panasonic Leica 10-25mm f/1.7 ASPH MFT lens.

Designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras, the lens covers focal length in full-frame terms is equivalent to 20-50mm on a Micro Four Thirds body, as a single lens that replaces five commonly used equivalent focal lengths: 20, 24, 28, 35 and 50mm.
