TAMRON Lenses Honored with Two Prestigious TIPA Awards in 2021

Tamron announces the presentation by the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) of its TIPA Award 2021 to two TAMRON lenses: 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD (Model B070) for “BEST STANDARD ZOOM LENS” and 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VXD (Model A056) for “BEST TELEPHOTO ZOOM LENS.” TAMRON has been honored with TIPA Awards for eight consecutive years.

Confirmed: The New Sony APS-C E-Mount Camera Coming Soon

It is now confirmed that the new Sony APS-C format E-mount camera coming soon. The official announcement is expected to happen next week!

Just like the Sony ZV-1 replaced the RX100 series, this new Sony APS-C E-mount camera will not be named as a5xxx or a6xxx. It will use a new naming structure and will be the first APS-C E-mount camera of a new line. In addition, this Sony APS-C E-mount camera is not really a High End model, but a compact VLOGGER E-mount camera. More details after the break! Zeiss ZX1 Firmware Update Version 1.4 adds face-detection AF, Lightroom Update and more

Zeiss has announced a major firmware update for its $6,000 Android-powered ZX1 camera . The new Firmware Update Version 1.4 adds face-detection autofocus, an updated version of Adobe Lightroom and more. The best part is, firmware version 1.4 for the ZX1 is available to download directly to the camera over Wi-Fi.

Rumored Sony a6900 / a6800 Specs

Sony will allegedly announce a new high-end APS-C mirrorless camera in late May 2021. According to new rumors this new camera will not be named as Sony A6700. The name of the high-end APS-C mirrorless camera could be either be named a6800 or a6900.

On the other hand we have some details about the Sony A6600 (AmazonB&HAdorama) successor camera. It seems that the upcoming Sony a6900 / a6800 camera will have almost the same body as the a7C, and it will be basically a Sony a7C with an APS-C sensor. The official announcement will happen in late May 2021, and it will replace the Sony a6600.

Sony a7R III A to Cost $2,799.99 and Sony a7R IV A for $3,499.99

The two small updated version of their current a7R III and a7R IV cameras: Sony a7R IIIA (LCE-7RM3A) and Sony a7R IVA (ILCE-7RM4A) will cost $2,799.99 and $3,499.99 respectively.

Both new models include several upgrades from the a7R III and a7R IV cameras. Pre-orders will start on Monday May 17, 2021 at Adorama and B&H. Tokina 25-75mm T2.9 Lens for PL, Canon EF, MFT, Sony E, and Nikon F

Tokina has announced the launch of its new 25-75mm T2.9, a parfocal lens that the company calls “the pinnacle of modern video zoom lens design”. The Tokina Cinema 25–75mm T2.9 lens is available to preorder starting today for PL, E, EF, MFT and Nikon F mount camera systems for $4,999.  The lens fits between Tokina’s 11-20mm T2.9 and 50-135mm T2.9 cinema zooms.

Designed from the ground up by Tokina’s cinema division, the 25-75mm T2.9 is a modern cinema zoom lens design, with features usually reserved for higher-cost cinema zooms.  It is a constant T2.9 throughout the range, with parfocal and excellent zoom tracking with minimal image shift. The Sony a6500 camera is now discontinued. The Sony mirrorless cameras was announced back in October 2016.
