Nikon NIKKOR Z 24mm f/1.8 S Lens Officially Announced

Along with development of Nikon D6 and AF-S NIKKOR 120-300mm f/2.8E lens, Nikon also announced the new NIKKOR Z 24mm f/1.8 S Lens.

The wide-angle prime becomes Nikon’s seventh native Z-mount lens, and is one of three remaining lenses on the roadmap for 2019 – the others being the 70-200mm F2.8 and the much-hyped 58mm F0.95 Noct.

Sony a9 Firmware Update Version 6.0 to be Released in September

The new firmware version 6.0 for Sony a9 mirrorless camera will be released in September 2019. This firmware version 6.0 will add Real-time Eye AF for Animals and Interval Shooting for Time Lapse for Sony a9. Firmware version 6.0 also brings an interval shooting mode first seen in the Sony a6400. Now, it’s easy to capture between 1 and 9999 photographs in 1 to 60 second intervals. The new feature also includes an auto exposure (AE) sensitivity setting that can be adjusted between High, Mid or Low to account for changing exposures throughout the set capture time.

Sony Unveils New a6600 and a6100 APS-C Mirrorless Cameras

The long-awaited Sony a6600 mirrorless camera officially replaces the A6500.

Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS and RF 24-70 f/2.8L IS Lenses Becomes Official

Canon has introduced two new L-series zoom lenses for its full-frame mirrorless camera system: the  and .

Landscape and architectural photographers will appreciate the wide coverage provided by the 15-35mm in such a small package, while street and event photographers should be eager to include this 24-70mm workhorse in their camera bags.

Both lenses offer dust and weather resistance, a claimed 5 stops of optical image stabilization and Nano USM motors for fast and quiet autofocus. They are around the same size but are heavier than their EF counterparts – the RF 15-35mm F2.8 weighs 840g and the 24-70mm F2.8 weighs 900g.

The RF 15-35mm F2.8L IS USM and RF 24-70mm F2.8L IS USM lenses will be available in late September.

Canon Releases the EOS 90D and M6 Mark II with 32MP Sensor and 4K Video

Canon has just released its brand-new EOS 90D DSLR camera and its mirrorless stablemate, the EOS M6 Mark II.

Canon 90D is a 32.5-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor with a 1.6x crop backed by a DIGIC 8 image processor. The camera has an ISO range of 100-25600 (expandable to 51200).

The Canon EOS 90D replaces the popular EOS 80D and lends itself to sports and action photography, with 10-frame-per-second continuous shooting and reduced optical viewfinder blackout.

Built for speed, like the 90D, the M6 Mark II can shoot continuously at 14 fps with AF/AE tracking and has a Raw Burst Mode of 30 fps using the electronic shutter. The EOS M6 Mark II shares many of the same core features and specs as the 90D.

Nikon Release Dedicated 3D Lut For N-Log & Support RAW Video Output For Z6 & Z7 Cameras

Nikon has introduced a dedicated LUT (lookup table) for users of the N-Log feature on the Nikon Z 7 and Z 6 cameras, allowing greater creative control in post-production. Further adding to the Z series’ capabilities for professional and advanced video creators, a new update will also be released later this year for the Z series cameras, which will enable the support of RAW video output from the camera when using a compatible ATOMOS Ninja V digital recorder.

With this firmware release, the Nikon Z7 and Z6 will be the first consumer cameras to officially support RAW video output, currently only available in professional cinema cameras. Venus Optics unveil the pricing and availability of the Laowa 4mm f/2.8 Circular Fisheye Lens for Micro Four Thirds (M43) cameras.

Laowa 4mm f/2.8 Fisheye lens is an 8mm equivalent fisheye prime specially designed for Micro Four Thirds cameras. On the contrary to the Laowa ‘Zero-D’ wide angle lenses, the new 4mm fisheye lens is designed to create an extremely distorted fisheye perspective.
