Sony E 15mm f/1.4 G, 11mm f/1.8 & PZ 10-20mm f/4 G Lenses Announced

Three new APS-C mirrorless E-mount lenses: , ,  now officially announced. All products will be available in July 2022.

All the lenses are now available for pre-order at B&H.

Sony has just officially announced three wide-angle lenses created specifically for APS-C format E-mount mirrorless cameras: Sony E 11mm F1.8, Sony E 15mm F1.4 G and Sony E 10-20mm F4 PZ G lens. While each of the new offerings brings a unique set of features to the table, they all share an emphasis on wide focal lengths, bright optics, and compact builds. Made with hybrid content creators in mind, the expansive reach of the trio should appeal to architecture and landscape photographers as well as travel and lifestyle vloggers.

Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Lens for Fujifilm X Coming Soon

The good news is Tamron confirmed that the 17-70mm f/2.8, a highly popular standard zoom lens, will be announced soon for Fujifilm X series APS-c mirrorless cameras.

Tamron already announced that in terms of lenses for Fujifilm X mount, they plan to launch next a a standard zoom, a wide-angle zoom and a telephoto zoom. It’s highly likely that the Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8 DI III-A RXD will be another lens that Tamron will launch, but the telephoto zoom that they mentioned is still unknown for now.

The Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens is available for Sony E-mount at B&H and Adorama.

Meike 7.5mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens for APS-C Mirrorless Cameras

Meike 7.5mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens announced for APS-c mirrorless cameras. The lens is manual focus and it will be available in Sony E, Canon EF-M, Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds and Nikon Z mounts.

The price of the manual focus Meike 7.5mm f/2.8 Lens is $149.99. Check availability at Amazon. The lens is available for Micro Four Thirds, Sony E, Fuji X, Canon EF-M and Nikon Z-mount cameras.

Tokina SZ 33mm f/1.2 APS-C Lens for Sony E and Fuji X Officially Announced

The Tokina SZ 33mm f/1.2 is a fully manual optical lens featuring standard angle of view and super fast aperture. The lens is designed for APS-C sensor mirrorless cameras for still and video content creators with suggested genres like landscape, portrait, snap, wedding, night sky, travel for stills, and general documentary or commercial production for video. The new Tokina lens is available for Fujifilm X and Sony E APS-C size cameras.

Panasonic announces Leica DG Summilux 9mm F1.7 lens for Micro Four Thirds

Panasonic has announced the Leica DG Summilux 9mm F1.7 lens for Micro Four Thirds camera systems.

This 18mm full-frame equivalent ultra-wide-angle lens is constructed of 12 elements in nine groups, including two aspherical elements, two extra-low dispersion (ED) elements and one Ultra High Refractive Index (UHR) element. Other features include a seven-blade aperture diaphragm, a minimum focusing distance of 9.5cm (3.7”) with a 0.25x maximum magnification ratio and a 55mm front filter thread. The lens measures 52mm (2”) long by 61mm (2.4”) in diameter and weighs 130g (4.6oz).

Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Lens Coming in late 2022

Here is a good news on the Tamron side. Thirds party lens manufacturer is planning to unveil a Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Lens by the end of 2022.

The lens will be available for Sony E-mount and use VXD drive to achieve faster AF speed and accuracy. Tamron has received high praise with the introduction of the version II standard zoom lens 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Lens (Model A063). Since the 28-75mm F2.8 has been remodeled to G2, it seems natural that the 17-28mm F2.8 will also be remodeled to G2.

Tamron has already released the 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Lens, and it is natural to update the 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD lens.
