Techart Releases TZC-01 – New Canon EF to Nikon Z Autofocus Adapter

Techart releases the TZC-01, an adapter that makes it possible to mount and use autofocus Canon EF lenses on Nikon Z6 and Z7 cameras

Techart says the TZC-01 will work with EF-mount lenses from Canon, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina and Zeiss. In addition to ‘native’ autofocus performance, the lenses will also maintain aperture control, stabilization features and EXIF data. Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art for Sony E-mount and L-Mount Mirrorless Cameras

The new Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN lens for Sony E-Mount and L-Mount is the second newly-designed “Art zoom” dedicated forfull mirrorless cameras.  The new lens joins the previously-announced 14-24mm F2.8 DG DN Art as the second of Sigma’s DN zoom.

The lens has a total of 19 elements, including low dispersion, special low dispersion and aspherical glass. Sigma’s ‘Super Multi-Layer’ and ‘Nano Porous’ coatings have been applied to reduce flare and ghosting. Autofocus is driven by a stepping motor and the lens can focus as close as 18cm (7.1″).

The Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art will be available in both L-mount and Sony E-mount in mid-November 2019. Pricing will be announced at a later date. Compared against Tamron’s popular 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD, which retails for $850, it would be in the same price range. Introduction of the new series “Full-Frame Classic Art Primes” to the lineup, a new solution from SIGMA that meets the most advanced technological demands for classical expression; Compatible with Cooke’s /i Technology communication protocol, these lenses are ideal for shooting and editing with the latest imaging technology
  2. Launch of new Art Prime PL mount lenses that support Cooke Optics’ /i Technology communication protocol in the latest addition to the SIGMA Full-Frame High Speed Prime Line.
  3. The development of SIGMA MOUNT CONVERTER MC-31, a converter that allows PL mount lenses to be used on L-Mount cameras.

Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art Lens for Full Frame Mirrorless

Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG DN Art is an ultra-fast semi-wide-angle prime lens for full-frame Sony, Panasonic and Leica mirrorless bodies. The lens, which Sigma claims can resolve over 50 million pixels, contains a total of 17 elements, including aspherical and ‘SLD’ glass. The minimum focus distance is 30cm (~11″), with a max magnification of 0.2x.

The Sigma 35mm f/1.2 is fairly hefty, weighing over 1kg (2.4lbs) with a length of 136mm (5.4″). This is compared to the older 35mm F1.4 Art, which weighs 665g (1.5lb) and measures 94mm (3.7″) in length. The filter ring of the new 35mm F1.2 is supersized too, at 82mm.

The lens has an aperture ring that can be clicked or de-clicked, as well as a customizable AFL button. Build quality appears high, with a weather-sealed enclosure and a coating on the front element to repel oil and water.

Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens for Full Frame Mirrorless

Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens announced for full-frame mirrorless cameras. The Art lens will be released in August for Panasonic / Leica L-mount and Sony E-mount.

The company calls it the ‘definitive lens for astrophotography’ and emphasizes its ‘outstanding’ resolution to the edges of the frame, achieved in part thanks to the inclusion of low dispersion elements and Sigma’s Nano Porous Coating (NPC).

The lens is splash and dustproof, and features a rear filter holder. The aperture diaphragm uses 11 rounded blades, and the lens weighs 28 oz / 795g. Shipping will start in late August 2019 and US Price would be around $1,300.

Sigma 45mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens

Sigma 45mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary lens is a compact, standard prime for full-frame Sony, Leica and Panasonic mirrorless cameras.

The lens is just 46mm (1.8″) long and weighs 215g (7.6oz), but still has a metal lens barrel and weather-sealing. It contains eight elements, a seven-blade aperture and 24cm (9.4″) minimum focus distance. The 45mm has an aperture ring, as well.

The Sigma 45mm F2.8 DG DN Lens will start shipping soon, and pricing is expected to be announced shortly. It is expected to be around $500.
