Sony a7S III Manual & Help Guide Now Available

The Sony a7S III instruction manual and help guide are now available for download online.

The Sony a7S III is a 12MP full-frame camera primarily designed with video in mind. 4K video recording is possible at 120fps (up to 30min), 4K 60fps (up to 60min), and FullHD video at 240fps. The camera can record 4K video at 10-bit 4:2:2 internally, has up to 600mbps recording, and supports dual SD UHS-II or new CFexpress Type-A cards.

Canon EOS R5 & R6 Firmware Updates Version 1.1.1 Now Available for Download

Canon just released the new firmware updates for the Canon EOS R5 and Canon EOS R6 mirrorless camera. Canon EOS R5 & R6 Firmware Updates Version 1.1.1 Now Available for Download.

This new firmware addresses the RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM lens for image stabilization and fixes several phenomenons for both cameras.

Sony Japan just released a teaser that a “new concept” Sony Alpha mirrorless camera will be officially announced on September 15, 2020. It is highly likely that this camera will be the rumored Sony a7C“.

Designed for YouToubers and vloggers in mind the Sony a7C will offer video-centric specs mainly similar to the Sony a7III. However the body design of the Sony Alpha a7C will be like the A6600.

More Rumors About 90MP Canon EOS R5S Camera

Canon is rumored to be working on a new high-megapixel RF-mount full frame mirrorless camera to replace both the Canon EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R cameras. According to the latest rumors, this Canon EOS R5S high-megapixel camera is now being tested by a very select group of photographers as a finished product.

This Canon EOS R5S will feature a new 90MP sensor, which “just about doubles” the 45MP sensor of the Canon EOS R5 (AmazonB&HAdorama).

This high-megapixel Canon EOS R5S body will be squarely aimed at still photographers. If you love recording videos or making movies, you will probably like the Canon EOS R5 or the Canon EOS R6.

Canon EOS RC Full Frame Mirrorless Camera Coming in Early 2021

Canon is rumored to announce a new budget-friendly full-frame mirrorless camera. Although the name of the new camera is not yet certain, it is said that it will be Canon EOS RC and will be announced in early 2021.

As is known, Canon EOS RP (B&HAdoramaAmazon) is the cheapest RF-mount mirrorless camera currently on the market and costs $999. It looks like Canon plans to announce a new “EOS RC” entry-level full-frame mirrorless camera built under the EOS RP in the first half of 2021.

Along with the EOS RC rumor, Canon will allegedly announce a new APS-C format RF mount mirrorless camera in the second half of 2021, which was initially slated to be announced in early 2021. And the long-rumored Canon EOS M7 high-end flagship mirrorless camera will come in Q4 of 2020, and it will probably be the last EF-mount mirrorless camera ever!

Atomos updates Ninja V for Sigma fp, Fujifilm GFX100

Atomos has released new firmware updates for the Ninja V that adds new raw video recording capabilities for the Fujifilm GFX100 and Sigma fp cameras.

On a GFX 100 running firmware version 2.01 or later, the Ninja V can now record 12-bit 4K ProRes RAW video at up to 30p over HDMI. This marks the first time users can capture Raw footage on the large format camera.

As an alternative to Raw video, the Atomos firmware update also enables 10-bit 422 ProRes and DNx 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) capture up to 30p or 4K DCI (4096 × 2160) at up to 24p. Multiple monitoring modes have also been added for viewing and playing back Raw footage.

The Atomos Ninja V update now enables Apple ProRes Raw video recording over rHDMI with the Sigma fp at 4k DCI p24 or 4k UHD up to p30 directly from the camera’s full-frame sensor.

Nikon Z8 & Z9 Rumored to Feature with 60MP and 14fps Burst

Latest rumors suggest that the Nikon Z8 / Z9 will feature flagship-level 14fps shooting. We already posted that the upcoming Nikon Z8 / Nikon Z9 could have a 60MP sensor, but according to the latest reports it could also feature a top continuous shooting speed of 14 frames per second using the mechanical shutter.

Nikon will announce a new mirrorless camera that features 60.8MP (9552×6364) sensor which is able to shoot 16-bit RAW NEF files (Nikon will introduce a lossy compressed RAW codec to reduce the file size). The previous rumors claimed that the IMX455 Sony 61MP sensor which is already used on Sony A7R IV will be on the next Nikon full frame mirrorless camera. Possible candidate for this sensor is the Nikon Z8.

So what’s next for Nikon. The upcoming Nikon D880 (Replacement of D850) is expected to arrive after the Z8 announcement. According to rumor mill, we’ll see the D850 replacement in early 2021.The high-resolution DSLR will also feature with 60MP IMX455 sensor from Sony a7R IV.
