Sigma 24mm f/3.5, 35mm f/2, 65mm f/2 DG DN Contemporary Lenses for E-mount and L-mount

Sigma announced three new full-frame mirrorless L-series premium compact prime lenses for Sony E-mount and L-mount bodies. These Sigma lenses are 24mm f/3.5, 35mm f/2, 65mm f/2 DG DN Contemporary and will be available for sale through authorized US retailers in mid-January, 2021.

All three lenses have aperture rings and by-wire manual focus dials, and are driven by stepping motors. They all come with both metal lens caps that attach magnetically and with conventional plastic pinch-type lens caps. Sigma will offer a magnetic lens cap holder that’s attached to a carabiner. New Venus Optics Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift Lens for Mirrorless Cameras

Venus Optics officially announced the Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift Lens – the World’s Widest Shift lens for full frame cameras and medium format cameras.

Available in Canon EF, Nikon F, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Sony FE mounts the lens is constructed of 17 elements in 11 groups, including two aspherical elements and a new lens coating. It has a 110-degree angle of view, offers a 65mm image circle and can shift +/-11mm on full-frame camera systems (+/-8mm when adapted for medium format cameras, such as Fujifilm GFX and Hasselblad X1D cameras).

The Laowa 15mm F4.5 Zero-D Shift is available to pre-order today for Canon EF, RF, Nikon F, Nikon Z and full-frame Sony E-mount camera systems for $1,199 on Venus Optics’ website. The Canon EF and Nikon F mount versions will be available in late November 2020, while the Canon RF, Nikon Z and full-frame Sony E-mount versions won’t be available until February 2021. Rumors : Sony FE 16mm f/1.8 GM Lens to be Announced in Early 2021

According to latest rumors, Sony is rumored to announce a new FE 16mm f/1.8 GM lens in early 2021.

We expect this wide-angle prime lens to be announced at major fairs at the beginning of 2021, although the announcement date is not yet clear.

Sony FE 16mm f/1.8 GM lens will be fastest 16mm lens in the world. It will be “about the same size and build quality” as the FE 24mm f/1.4 GM lens, so expect a large, well-built lens with lots of glass and a hefty price tag. Meyer Optik Gorlitz has unveiled the full-frame Trioplan 50mm f2.8 II, a versatile lens with special “soap bubble” bokeh. The developer claims, the lens has been redesigned from the ground up: a new mechanical design based on the Trioplan 100mm f2.8 II now offers photographers excellent controllability with a 50mm focal length.

Trioplan 50mm is manufactured for the most common modern camera mounts Canon EF, Nikon F, Fuji X, Sony E, Pentax K, M42, Micro Four Thirds, Leica M, and Leica L. Additionally, the 50 mm lens also features a movable front element, independent of the focusing action, which increases the maximum magnification to 1:4 for working with nearby subjects as close as 9.8″ away.

Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art Lens Officially Announced

Sigma officially announces the new Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art lens for Sony E and Leica L mount cameras. The US price is $799 and it is now available for pre-order at B&H, Adorama. Shipping is scheduled to start in late October 2020.

With a minimum focusing distance of 11.6″, and a 5.5″ working distance, this Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art lens offers a life-size, 1:1 reproduction ratio for accurate rendering of close-up subjects.
