Venus Optics finally announces Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL Lens for Canon RF mount. The US price of this lens is $699. Now the new Venus Optics Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL Lens for Canon R5/R6. Venus Optics lenses are sold at Adorama and B&H.

Laowa 11mm F4.5 FF RL is a super compact and lightweight Rectilinear(RL) wide-angle lens for full-frame (FF) mirrorless cameras. The remarkable 126° angle of view with 19cm minimum focus length features can be found in the 6.3cm(2.5 inches) long and 254g(8.9oz) lens. It allows you to capture the stunning landscape, precious travel moments and beautiful interior design without any burden. The lens also includes 2 aspherical elements and 3 extra-low dispersion elements to guarantee the sharpness, suppress chromatic aberrations and distortion to the minimum. Conveniently, the 62mm filter can be screwed onto the lens directly, or more filters available with a 100mm square filter frame. The 5 blades aperture creates a stunning 10-point sunstars.

New Canon RF Patents : 24mm f/1.4, 24mm f/1.8, 28mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.8 & 50mm f/1.4 Lenses

Canon has filed several new RF mount lens patents for its full frame mirrorless camera system. These lenses are the 24mm f/1.4, 24mm f/1.8, 28mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.8 & 50mm f/1.4 and some of them are already in the lens roadmap.

Atomos Ninja V Firmware Update 10.6.1 Released

Atomos has just released the latest AtomOS firmware 10.61 for the Ninja V.  With this firmware update Ninja V has now benefits of a Time-lapse function, HDMI to SDI cross conversion, and RAW over SDI.

The RAW over SDI option is already activated for those purchasing the new NINJA V Pro Kit. However, thanks to the new firmware 10.61 existing Atomos Ninja V owners can also purchase the $99 activation license (directly from Atomos) and record ProRes RAW over SDI from the Sony FX6, FX9 and other compatible cameras.

Canon EOS R6 Won #1 Place : Best Selling Camera in January 2021

One of the nation’s leading specialist photographic retailers, MapCamera published its list of the top ten best-selling new cameras, with the Canon EOS R6 taking pride of place atop the chart. Canon EOS R6 tops the list for being the most sold camera in January, leading retailer in Japan.

The Canon EOS R6 won the No.1 best seller while the Canon EOS R5 is ranked sixth this time. The Fujifilm X-S10, which has been selling well since its launch in November last year, came in second. And the Sony a7C won the third place.

Sony a1 vs Canon EOS R5 Review About Portraits, Sports and Wildlife

Tony & Chelsea Northrup published a new Sony a1 vs Canon EOS R5 review. The video rewview compares the $6,500 full-frame 50MP 30 frames per second (FPS) Sony a1 vs the $4,500 45MP 20 FPS Canon EOS R5.

They’ve tested eye detect autofocus for portraits with both humans and dogs. Then, they take wildlife photos to test the bird eye AF. Next, they test two sports scenarios: photographing people running at the camera and motorsports / cars.

The results are genuinely shocking – the Sony a1 frequently blows us away with its speed, but the less expensive Canon R5 also wins many of the comparisons! Canon EOS R6 Video Review

Internal video recording at 4K is capable up to 59.94 fps or 1080p up to 119.88 fps in 10 bit 4:2:2 Canon Log(H.265) or HDR PQ(H.265).
