Canon EOS R6 Mirrorless Camera Coming in May 2020

Canon EOS R6 full frame mirrorless camera is rumored to be announced in May 2020. As you know we have met the full video specs of the upcoming Canon EOS R5 camera on Aptil 20 and saw the announcement of Canon EOS C300 Mark III Cinema Camera & CINE-SERVO 25-250mm T2.95 lens.

However we didn’t see anything related to the previously rumored Canon EOS R6 mirrorless camera. The latest rumor suggests that Canon is still planning to announce the Canon EOS R6 sometime in May 2020. We also expect the Canon EOS R5 to be officially announced along with the Canon EOS R6 in May. More details after the break!

The previously rumored Canon EOS C300 Mark III (replacement for the current Mark II version) Cinema Camera is now officially announced. The US price is $10,999 and it is now available for pre-order at B&H Photo Video/Adorama.

Confirmed Canon EOS R5 Video Specs: 8K/30, 4K/120 with Raw, 10-bit H.265, Full DPAF

In addition to the new Canon EOS C300 Mark III Cinema Camera, Canon announced additional details of the highly anticipated Canon EOS R5 full-frame mirrorless camera which is currently in development.

According to the confirmed Canon EOS R5 video specifications, the flagship model will be able to record 8K video at 30p with no crop and full-width 4K at up to 120p with 10-bit 4:2:2 recording and full AF in all modes.

Canon EOS R5 Registered at Korean for 5GHZ Wi-Fi

The upcoming Canon EOS R5 full frame mirrorless camera now registered at Korean RRA. According to leaked registered info, Canon EOS R5 will feature with built-in 5GHz Wi-Fi.

We already know that Canon EOS R5 will be the 5D series Equivalent for Mirrorless. The new EOS R5 will be able to record 8K video at 30p with no crop. The new Canon EOS R5 camera already listed at Adorama and B&HPhoto.

New Patent: Canon RF 8mm f/4 Fisheye Lens

Canon has filed a new lens patent for RF-mount full frame mirrorless cameras. The patent application describes the RF 8mm f/4 Fisheye lens which will be the first for Canon RF mount lineup.
