Rumors: Leica Q2 with 47MP sensor, Leica S3 with 64MP sensor

According to recent reports the upcoming Leica Q2 camera could feature a new 47MP sensor. The new Leica FOTOS app version 1.1.0 already has a listing for the upcoming Leica Q2 camera with two new resolution settings.

Rumors claims that one of them is for Leica Q2 with 47MP sensor and the other one is for Leica S3 with 64MP sensor.

So in addition to the Sony RX1, Leica will make it serious full-frame fixed-lens competitor with the upcoming Zeiss ZX1.

Leica Q2 Camera Rumors

  • “Leica Q2” has already been trademarked in Europe since 2017
  • Leica Q2 has also already been registered at the Indonesian government agency Postel under the code name “4889”
  • Nokishita spotted the registration for the new Leica Q2 camera. We shall see this camera announced within 1-2 months

Confirmed : Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM Lens to be Announced Soon

Finally it is now confirmed that the Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM lens will be announced soon. The fast telephoto prime lens will be designed for Sony full frame E-mount.

Official announcement of the Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM lens is expected happen ahead of CP+ Show 2019 on February 14th.

It can also be used with APS-C models where it will provide a 202.5mm equivalent focal length. Bright f/1.8 maximum aperture is good for low-light conditions and also provides greater control over the focus position when using shallow depth of field techniques.

Check out the list of upcoming Sony mirrorless lenses in 2019. There will be four new lenses and Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM lens is one of them.

Fujifilm X-T30 Images & Specs

Additional details about the Fujifilm X-T30 camera have been leaked. You can find the first images and specs of the upcoming Fuji X-T30 camera.

As you can see below Fujifilm has removed the D-Pad in favor of a joystick and as expected the X-T30 will use the same sensor as the Fujifilm X-T3.

Fujifilm X-T3 Firmware 2.10 Released

Fujifilm X-T3 firmware version 2.10 has just been released.

  1. Recording over 4GB movie file as one file 　Movie files are no longer split when the file reaches 4GB file size. The file is recorded as one file providing an SD memory card greater than 32GB is used (excludes 32GB) (*1).
    *1：By using SD memory cards less than or equal to 32GB, movie recording will continue without interruption when the file size reaches 4GB, however subsequent footage will be recorded to a separate file.
    Note：Format SD memory cards before first use, and be sure to reformat all memory cards after using them in a computer or other device.
  2. Fix of slight defects.
