Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR Lens Will be Released on July 3, 2020

According to recent press text from Nikon, the new NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR all-in-one zoom lens will be released on July 3, 2020. Just like the NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S lens ($2,596.95 – at B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon), the shipment of this lens have been delayed previously.

The NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR is an 8.3x high-power telephoto zoom lens that covers the wide-angle 24mm to telephoto 200mm range of focal lengths, and packs outstanding resolution into a compact and lightweight package weighing approximately 570g. A versatile all-in-one zoom for Nikon Z6 and Z7.

Panasonic G100 Vlogging Micro Four Thirds Camera

Panasonic has announced the new Panasonic G100 Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera, aimed at vloggers, videographers, and photographers. The new Lumix G100 is compact and lightweight, with a vari-angle screen.

Designed to be the ideal “Vlogging” camera, it is smaller than an iPhone XR, offers 4K 30p video recording and has a number of features that will appeal to the videographer, as well as photographers.

The camera uses the same 20MP Four Thirds sensor as many other Panasonic cameras. While it does not have in-body image stabilization, the new Lumix G100 features aa ‘hybrid’ 5-axis IS system when recording video (4-axis for 4K).

Alongside the G100 comes the DMW-SHGR1 tripod grip ($99). It can be a small selfie stick (with still and video capture buttons) or a mini tripod. The grip is powered by the camera’s micro USB port.

This new camera cost $697.99 with 12-32mm Lens kit, first available for pre-order at B&H/ Amazon. Shipping will start on late July.

Sigma 16mm, 30mm and 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lenses and USB Dock UD-11 for L-Mount and Canon EF-M

Sigma launched the popular 16mm F1.4 DC DN, 30mm F1.4 DC DN and 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary lenses for L-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras as well as the new Sigma USB Dock UD-11 which is designed for L-Mount and Canon EF-M mount.

The 16mm, 30mm, and 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary lenses are identical to their Sony E-mount, Canon EF-M mount and Micro Four Thirds predecessors, and are currently available to pre-order for $450 (Adorama, B&H), $340 (Adorama, B&H) and $480 (Adorama, B&H), respectively, with a July 10 shipping date.

Sigma’s new USB Dock UD-11 models use a USB Type-C connection and are available for Sigma L-mount and Canon EF-M mount mirrorless lenses. As with Sigma’s other docks, the UD-11 models makes it possible to update firmware and customize settings on Sigma lenses with these mounts.

Sigma TC-1411 1.4x and TC-2011 2x Teleconverters for L-Mount Lenses

In addition to the Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Lens (for L-mount and E-mount), Sigma has also announced two new L-mount teleconverters: the TC-1411 (1.4x) and the TC-2011 (2x).

Sigma says these two teleconverters are ‘Designed to complement Sigma’s renowned optical formulas’ and feature a dust- and splash-proof design ‘comparable to that of the Sigma Sports line lenses.’

Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary Lens for L-Mount and Sony E-Mount

Sigma today officially announced the new 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary telephoto zoom lens for E-mount and L-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras.

The telephoto zoom lens is constructed of 22 elements in 16 groups including one low dispersion element (FLD) and four special low dispersion (SLD) elements. It uses a stepping motor for autofocus, has a nine-blade aperture diaphragm, a minimum aperture range of F22–29 and a 67mm front filter thread. At 100mm it has a minimum focusing distance of 112cm (44”) and at 400mm it has a minimum focusing distance of 160cm (63”). The lens measures in at 86mm (3.4”) diameter, 197mm (7.8”) long and weighs 1,135g (40oz).

New Manfrotto 504X Fluid Video Head

Manfrotto has announced the 504X Fluid Video Head, which supports a payload of 26.5lbs and features a four-step counterbalance system.

Designed for smooth, stable video footage, the Manfrotto 504X features a bridge architecture that allows for a wider top surface and a longer sliding plate to provide greater balance and stability.  Though lighter than the 504HD, the 504x features an increased load capacity of 26.5 pounds (that is 12 kg for our readers in Europe and the UK) with a four-step counterbalance to help offset the weight of the camera while operating.

The head features a flat base with a 3/8″-16 female mounting thread, enabling you to mount it on most tripods, monopods, sliders and rigs.

The Manfrotto 504X is made of lightweight aluminium. It’s priced at $359 for the head only and is also available in kits. You can pre-order the Manfrotto 504X now from retailers such as B&H Photo (get the head only or check out the different kits available.

Tokina launches ATX-i 11-20mm f/2.8 CF lens and Updates Lens Roadmap

Tokina has announced the ATX-i 11-20mm f/2.8 CF lens which is designed for use with Canon and Nikon DSLRs.

Available for Canon EF and Nikon F mounts, the Tokina ATX-i 11-20mm f/2.8 CF lens contains three aspherical elements along with three low dispersion elements. Other features include a 9-blade diaphragm and a One-Touch Focus Clutch mechanism.

Offering a 17.6-32mm equivalent focal length, the new Tokina lens also has a water-resistant top coat and a multi-layer lens coating.

The US price of the Tokina atx-i 11-20mm f/2.8 CF Lens is $529, and it is available for pre-order at B&H, Adorama. In addition the lens manufacturer released updated lens roadmap for 2020. The Samyang AF 85mm f/1.4 RF lens is an autofocus short-telephoto (portrait) lens for Canon RF mount cameras. This lens delivers beautiful bokeh, outstanding image quality and fast, silent autofocusing.

Optically, the Samyang/Rokinon AF 85mm f/1.4 RF looks to be identical to the Sony FE version. There are 11 elements in 8 groups, including 1 Extra Low Dispersion (ED) element and 4 High Refractive Index (HRI) elements to cut down on chromatic aberration and allow for a smaller lens design, respectively, as well as the company’s Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) to eliminate ghosting and flare.
