Canon Announces the Development of EOS-1D X Mark III DSLR Camera

Canon held a major announcement. In addition to the new  RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM and RF 85mm f/1.2L USM DS, the company also announced the development of the Canon EOS-1D X Mark III flagship DSLR camera.

Price and release date is not available yet. Expected official announcement around CP+ Show 2020 in February.

The new flagship camera will have an all-new CMOS sensor with Dual Pixel AF and a new Digic processor. That combination will be able to produce not only standard JPEG and Raw files, but also 10-bit HEIF files for a greater tonal range than JPEGs are capable of. The Dual Pixel AF region of the sensor will cover 90% of the frame horizontally and 100% vertically, with 525 AF areas.

Canon EOS 1D X Mark III will be able to capture 10-bit, 4:2:2 video footage at up to 4K/60p with built in a C-Log profile, to enhance users’ ability to grade the video files in post.

Tamron Announced 4 New FE Lenses for Sony E-mount

Tamron today officially announced four new FE lenses for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras.

These lenses are Tamron 20mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 Lens (B&H Photo), Tamron 24mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 Lens (B&H Photo), Tamron 35mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 Lens (B&H Photo) and Tamron 70-180mm f/2.8 Di III VXD Lens (Development Announcement).

The set serves as an accessible means for Sony photographers looking to build a collection of wide-angle primes. All three lenses are compact and lightweight, guaranteeing they won’t take up too much space in your bag. The 70-180mm f/2.8 Di III VXD Lens will be released in the Spring of 2020, currently no price info yet.

All these three Tamron FE lenses will be priced at $349. The 24mm and 35mm will arrive on November 20th, with the 20mm to follow in January. The lenses are the same size and same weight (around 215g/7.6oz), and use the same 67mm filter thread.

Fujifilm X-Pro3 Mirrorless Camera, Specs, Price and Availability

Fujifilm has announced the new X-Pro 3, the latest rangefinder style mirrorless camera from Fujifilm.  Fujifilm has now released full specifications and prices for the camera.

The X-Pro3 has a 26MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor, the same as on the X-T3, along with a hybrid autofocus system. The LCD flips down by up to 180 degrees and has a resolution of 1.62 million-dots. The viewfinder has a magnification of 0.52x when used optically and 0.66x when used as an EVF. The EVF has an OLED panel with 3.69 million dots. It has a USB 3.1 Type-C port and a 2.5mm remote/microphone socket.

The camera can shoot DCI and UHD 4K at up to 30p. It has dual SD card slots with UHS-II support and you can connect to external power sources over its USB 3.1 (Type C) connector. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.The rear screen is hidden until you tilt it down.

Olympus Pen E-PL10 Announced With A Flip-Down Screen

In addition to the E-M5 Mark III camera, Olympus has also announced the launch of the PEN E-PL10 Micro Four Thirds camera. The Olympus Pen E-PL10 follows on from the PEN E-PL9 announced last year but it will only be available in China and Japan, so far, with a release date expected, sometime, late November 2019.

Internally, the camera doesn’t look much different either compared to its predecessor. It features what we believe to be the same 16.1 Megapixel Live MOS sensor found inside the PEN E-PL9, as well as the same TruePic VIII image processor, 3-axis image stabilization (CIPA-rated for up to 3.5 stops of compensation) and contrast detection autofocus system. It also features the same 8.6 fps burst rate and 4K capture at up to 30 fps.

Canon today has officially announced the new IVY REC Clip camera. The Canon IVY REC Clip Camera features a 13MP sensor, support for capturing 1:1 and 4:3 JPEG images in resolutions up to 3104 x 3104 and 4160 x 3120, video recording at 720p/30fps through 1080p/60fps in MP4 format, and a fixed 25.4mm F2.2 lens

New Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR and NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR lenses

Along with the Nikon Z50 mirrorless camera and NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct, the company unveiled two new kit lens for Nikon DX mirrorless camera.  These lenses are the Nikkor Z DX 16-50mm F3.5-6.3 VR (sample photos) and the Nikkor Z DX 50-250mm F4.5-6.3 VR (sample photos) .

The Z50 will be available in November for $859 body-only, $999 with the 16-50mm lens and $1349 with the 16-50mm and 50-250mm lenses. Both kit lenses will be available separately, with the 16-50 priced at $299 and the 50-250 at $349.
