Rumor: Olympus E-M5 III to be launched on October 17th

According to recent Micro Four Thirds rumors,  the next camera from Olympus presumed to be the OM-D E-M5 III. It will be announced on October 17, 2019, and feature the same 20-megapixel sensor that’s inside the E-M1 II.

The Olympus E-M5 Mark III MFT camera is said to be a normal evolution model with a focus on miniaturization and weight reduction, including new functions and mechanisms. Just“small and light” is not attractive.

Nikon Z50 APS-C Mirrorless Camera Coming Soon with 2 DX Z NIKKOR Lenses

First Nikon Z-mount APS-C mirrorless camera is on the horizon. According to recent rumors, it will be called Nikon Z50.

The Nikon Z50 APS-C Mirrorless Camera to be announced soon with  NIKKOR Z DX 16-55mm f/3.5-6.3 Lens and NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 Lens. 

DX-format Nikon Z50 mirrorless camera will feature 20MP APS-c sensor and offer 11fps burst. The new camera will use the Nikon EN-EL25 Battery.

Lexar & ProGrade Digital Announced Their CFexpress Memory Cards

In addition to the new SanDisk Extreme PRO CFexpress Card Type B, Lexar and ProGrade Digital also announced their CFexpress memory cards.

The newly announced Canon EOS C500 Mark II cinema camera now supports CFexpress cards, and the upcoming Canon EOS-1D X Mark III and Nikon D6 will probably support the CFexpress cards.

Nikon Z8 Rumored to Feature 60MP Sensor and 16-bit NEF Files

According to a leaked screenshot of a new camera manual, Nikon will announce a new mirrorless camera that features 60.8MP (9552×6364) sensor which is able to shoot 16-bit RAW NEF files (Nikon will introduce a lossy compressed RAW codec to reduce the file size). The previous rumors claimed that the IMX455 Sony 61MP sensor which is already used on Sony A7R IV will be on the next Nikon full frame mirrorless camera. Possible candidate for this sensor is the Nikon Z8.

Back in April 2019, we reported that both Nikon D860 and Nikon Z8 cameras might use 60MP IMX455AQR Sensor from Sony. The Sony IMX455AQR sensor features 60MP, 8k video, and offers native 64 ISO. Fujifilm X-Pro3 unveiled with Titanium Body, Hidden LCD and New Film Simulation

Fujifilm have unveiled the new X-Pro3 rangefinder-style mirrorless camera at an X-summit event in Shibuya, Japan. The Fujifilm X-Pro3 camera will be officially announced on October 23rd.

For a development announcement, Fuji actually shared quite a bit about the camera in their livestream. The new model will be made out of titanium, making it 10x more scratch-resistant than a stainless steel chassis.

It will also feature an innovative “hidden” LCD screen on the rear, plus a smaller miniature screen which will display basic exposure information and even the currently selected film simulation.  Other new features include a Classic Negative film simulation mode, improved optical and electronic viewfinders.

Pentax K-mount APS-c DSLR camera Development Announcement

Ricoh has announced that are making a new flagship Pentax K-Mount APS-C DSLR camera. This camera will be reference exhibit at “PENTAX Meeting 100th Anniversary Special” in September.

Nikon, Leica and Olympus will not Attend Photokina 2020 Show

Nikon, Leica and Olympus will not take part in the next 2020 Photokina show in Germany.

The 2020 show follows a fallow year in 2019. Back in 2018 the show’s organisers announced that Photokina would cease to be held biannually and would become an annual event in May of each year.
