Updated Nikon Z-mount Lens Roadmap 2020-2021

Along with the new Nikon Z5 mirrlress camera, NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 Lens, Z Teleconverter TC-1.4x and Z Teleconverter TC-2x, the company also unveiled updated Z-mount lens roadmap until 2021.

The NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S is scheduled to be released before the end of the year, and will join the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S and NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S in covering wide-angle, standard, and telephoto ranges, expanding the possibilities of imaging expression for high amateur and professional photographers alike.

New Firmware for Canon EOS R (Ver. 1.7.0) and EOS RP (Ver. 1.5.0)

Canon released new firmware for EOS R (Ver. 1.7.0) and EOS RP (Ver. 1.5.0).

This new fw update adds support for the new Canon RF 600mm & 800mm f/11 IS STM lenses and EXTENDER RF 1.4× & 2x.

Nikon Z5, Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 Lens, Z Teleconverter 1.4x & 2x now Available for Pre-order

The new Nikon Z5, NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 Lens, Z 1.4x Teleconverter, Z 2.0x Teleconverter are now available for pre-order online.

The Nikon Z5 will be available in three kits: body only for $1399, with the new 24-50mm F4-6.3 lens for $1699, and with the versatile 24-200 F4-6.3 VR for $2199.

Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K Film Camera Announced

Blackmagic Design has announced Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K, a new digital film camera with an advanced 12,288 x 6,480 12K Super 35 image sensor, 14 stops of dynamic range and high frame rate shooting at up to 60 frames per second in 12K at 80 megapixels per frame. The new Blackmagic Generation 5 Color Science and higher Blackmagic RAW performance, all in the award winning URSA Mini Pro camera body.

The US price is $9,995 and it is now available for pre-order at B&H, Adorama. Shipping will start at the beginning of August 2020.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV Specifications Leaked

Check out the leaked specifications of the upcoming Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV mirrorless camera. The entry-level Micro Four Thirds shooter will replace the current Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III model.

The cameras, which are expected to be announced by the end of 2020, are slowly emerging and Olympus E-M10 IV is one of them. Sony a7S III to be Announced on July 28, 2020

It is now confirmed that the Sony a7S III will be officially announced on July 28, 2020 at 10:00 EDT. The full frame mirrorless camera is now listed at B&H. The preorder starts at 10am ET, Tue Jul 28.

Latest Sony a7S III rumors indicates that the video centric camera will shoot 4K video at 120p, 10bit 4:2:2, FHD video at 240p, while there will be no 8K video for a7S III.

New Firmware Updates for Panasonic GH5, GH5S, G9, G95, G85 and GX9

Panasonic announced a minor firmware updates for GH5, GH5S, G9, G95, G85, GX9 mirrorless cameras and the upcoming release of software programs “LUMIX Streaming (Beta)” for Mac and the development of “LUMIX Webcam Software” for Win/Mac.

The firmware update programs are aimed to improve compatibility with the new Tripod Grip DMW-SHGR1 and operational stability with LUMIX G VARIO 12-32mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. /MEGA O.I.S.(H-FS12032) lens. Meanwhile, “LUMIX Streaming (Beta)” and “LUMIX Webcam Software” enhance work-at-home activities using LUMIX cameras.
