Sigma Confirms New DG DN Sports Lenses in Development

During the CP+ event Sigma streamed a new chat video. In this CP+ presentation Sigma confirmed that a new DG DN Sports lens is currently in the final stage of development.

On February 26, Yasuhiro Osone, general manager of Sigma’s product planning department, stated that the new DG DN | Sports full-frame mirrorless telephoto lens is under development. Our guess is this “DG DN” Sports zoom lens could be the 70-200mm f/2.8 that was rumored for some time. More details about the New Sigma DG DN Sports Lenses after the break!

Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM Lens to be Announced Soon

It is among the leaked information that Sony will soon announce its 50mm lens with f/1.2 fast aperture for full-frame mirrorless cameras. Accordingly, we can say that the next GM-series lens will be  (SEL50F12 GM). Designed for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras, the Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM lens  will be officially announced on March 16th, 2021.

Sony G Master (GM) lenses are the company’s high-end lenses that sit above its ‘G-series’ lenses with a premium price. These Sony lenses feature dust and moisture resistance, and also dedicated control buttons like AF/MF and Focus Hold is ergonomically useful. Confirmed : New Nikon Cameras Coming in 2021

Nikon did not introduce any new products at the 2021 CP+ event, but the company’s general manager, Mr. Satoshi Yamazaki was confirmed in the interview that we will meet the new Nikon products in 2021.

So you probably asking What is Nikon planning to compete against the rivals Canon and Sony? The impact of the new $6,500 Sony a1 camera is huge and there is also the amazing Canon EOS R5. We can expect Nikon to release Nikon Z8, Z9, Z1 cameras to compete with Sony a1, Canon EOS R5, Sony a7S III and more.

Three HD PENTAX-FA Limited Lenses & New Pentax K-1 Mark II J Limited 01 Camera Coming Soon

Three HD PENTAX-FA Limited lenses and a new Pentax K-1 Mark II J Limited 01 camera to be announced soon. Ricoh will soon announce three new HD PENTAX-FA Limited lenses and a new Pentax K-1 Mark II J Limited 01 camera.

Pentax K-1 Mark II J Limited 01 camera that will be announced at CP+ 2021 and will start shipping in late April. The new Mark II J Limited was described to have a “black & gold viridian scarlet rouge LX75 metallic”.

Sony FX3 Product Images: 12MP, 4K120p, No ND

Here are the full product pictures of the Sony FX3. The full frame E-mount cinema camera will be officially announced on February 23, 2021 at 16:00 CET / 15:00 GMT.

Sony FX3 will be able to record 4K video at 120p. It will feature 12MP sensor with no built-in ND filter. The weight will be about 715g and the dimensions are 129.7 x 77.8 x 84.5 mm.

Sony FX3 is a Sony a7S III in a square boxy design and features still capabilities. Other noteworthy features include dedicated Photo Mode, IBIS with active mode, full-size HDMI, articualting LCD screen, and dual slot for CFexpress A and SD cards. Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens Images

First images of the have been leaked online. No specs have been released along with the images. The lens will be officially announced on February 24, 2021, just before the CP+ 2021.

Available in Sony E and Leica L mounts, the Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary  and it will compete against the Tamron 28-75mm FE. The US price of the zoom lens will be around $900.

Along with the Sigma FE 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary lens, the manufacturer will also announce the Sigma fp L camera and the new external electronic viewfinder EVF-11.

This will be a top pick for users looking for a lightweight all-around zoom, the FE 28-70mm f/2.8 Lens from Sigma will be a great go-to for Full Frame E-Mount shooters. The lens can also be used with APS-C models where it provides an 42mm – 105 equivalent focal length.

Confirmed : Sony FX3 Announcement on February 23, 12MP, 4K120p, No ND Filter

Sony released a new teaser that the Sony FX3 E-mount cinema camera will be officially announced on February 23, 2021 at 16:00 CET / 15:00 GMT.

The Sony FX3 cinema camera will feature a 12 megapixel sensor and shoot 4K 120 FPS video. It is expected to have a price tag of 3795 Euros in Europe and $4000 in the US. However from the first leaked specs the camera does not look to have the ND filter found in other Sony Cinema Line cameras. We can easily say that the FX3 will be by far the smallest Cinema Line camera owned by Sony.

New Canon RF Patents : 24mm f/1.4, 24mm f/1.8, 28mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.8 & 50mm f/1.4 Lenses

Canon has filed several new RF mount lens patents for its full frame mirrorless camera system. These lenses are the 24mm f/1.4, 24mm f/1.8, 28mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.8 & 50mm f/1.4 and some of them are already in the lens roadmap.

To date, Canon has offered great lenses for the RF mount and demonstrated how committed it is to a full frame mirrorless camera system. See the complete Canon RF mount lenses. New Nikon Z6 II & Z7 II Firmware Update : Improved EyeAF and Z6II gets 4K UHD/60p

Nikon is expected to announce their details of CP+ show 2021 on February 18th, 2021. This will include a new firmware update version 1.10 for Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II.

According to the leak this new Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II Firmware Update will be available for download on February 25, 2021. Both full frame mirrorless cameras will benefit from Improved EyeAF and the Z6 II gets support for 4K UHD 60p. Rumored Specs for the Sony FX3 Camera

Here are the rumored specs of the Sony FX3 camera.  Gaston Shutters published new pictures and shared new specs of the Sony FX3 in his Youtube channel.

According to the video the upcoming Sony FX3 will be basically the same as the Sony a7S III camera. Sony FX3 specs consists of 12MP full frame sensor. The camera will be able to record 4K at 120p but no 8K as rumored before. It will have IBIS and video recording expected with no overheating after 13hours 4K all-in 10bit 4:2:2.
