NiSi Optics has announced the NiSi 15mm f/4 wide-angle manual focus lens for full-frame mirrrless. The US price of the lens is $579.00 and available for pre-order. You can also find NiSi products at Amazon, and B&HPhoto. NiSi 15mm f/4 full-frame lens is available for Nikon Z, Canon R, Sony E, and Fuji X mounts.

The fully-manual lens features an all-metal construction and is comprised of 12 elements in 10 groups, including one double-side aspherical element and two extra-low dispersion elements. It has an aperture range of F4 through F22 and uses a ten-blade aperture diaphragm, which helps to create the signature sunstars this lens is named after. Sony a7S III Sensor Review: Scored 86 Points

DxOMark published their Sony a7S III sensor review and test results – Sony a7S III’s 12.1MP full-frame exmor R BSI sensor achieved an excellent overall score of 86 points (just 1 point above the Sony a7S II), with a combination of 23.7 bits color depth, 13.9 EV dynamic range, and 2520 ISO low-light score.

With the overall score of 86 points, Sony A7S III has the 53rd position in the database of full-frame 35 mm and MF sensors overall, the 51st place for full-frame 35 mm, and the 17th place for Sony cameras.

Although it is a bit early to talk about the Sony A7R V announcement and specs, due to the arrival of the Canon EOS R5 camera, Sony has accelerated the development speed of the Sony A7R V camera with enhanced video core specification.

It’s a little early to talk about the Sony A7R V and Sony A9R full frame E-mount cameras. We can foresee that the Sony A7R V announcement will extend to 2022 or at best by the end of 2021. Viltrox 24mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.8, and 50mm f/1.8 Lenses Announced for Sony E-mount

Viltrox announced three new lenses for Sony E-mount: 24mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.8, and 50mm f/1.8.

New Viltrox lenses should be available soon. All Viltrox lenses are sold at Adorama, B&H and Amazon but these lenses are not listed yet. So price information is yet to be announced but we expect $399 for new mdoels just like the Viltrox AF 85mm F1.8 FE II Lens. It is now available to through the B&HPhoto store for $399.

Sony A7C Scores 95 points : Similar to A7 III and A9 II

Sony A7C sensor review and test results published by DxOMark. Sony A7C achieves an outstanding overall score of 95 points, with a combination of of 25 bits color depth, 14.7 EV dynamic range, and 3407 ISO low-light score.

Sony’s 24 MP BSI-CMOS in A7C has high color depth, wide dynamic range, and low noise, which makes it a nicely balanced performer and highly competitive. We were expecting this as Sony Alpha a7C is the Best Selling in the second half of October (CAPA).
